A Cu-containing Nb3Al multifilamentary superconductive wire having a multifilamentary (superfine multi-core structure that a large number of micro-complex cores each obtained by complexing a Cu—Al alloy containing Cu in an amount of more than 0.2 at. % and at most 10 at. % in Nb are embedded in Nb, Ta, an Nb alloy or a Ta alloy as a matrix, wherein in the micro-complex cores, an A15 phase compound structure is formed by rapid heating at a temperature of 1,700° C. or more for 2 seconds or less and quenching to approximately room temperature, and further additionally heat-treated at a temperature of 650 to 900° C. This superconductive wire has high Jc in a low magnetic field, can be applied to all magnetic fields of 29 T or less, and is excellent in Jc characteristics in a high magnetic field in comparison with an Nb3Al wire.
Abstract:
A semiconductor memory includes a memory block consisting of a plurality of cells, a write control section, and a read control section. The write control section sets a potential to each of the plurality of cells in such a manner that the potential corresponds to a level indicated by a bit data string obtained by arranging pieces of bit data which are stored in buffers A and B and which are to be stored in the cell in the order of the buffer A and the buffer B. The read control section has a discriminator corresponding to each of the plurality of cells. The discriminator sets a threshold voltage to a potential level that corresponds to a number of discriminating operations to be performed with respect to a corresponding cell and a result of a discriminating operation already performed with respect to the cell. As a result of these operations, the semiconductor memory can determine the pieces of bit data in the order of the buffer A and the buffer B every time the discriminating operation is performed with respect to the cell.
Abstract:
An electronic endoscope system which is configured to eliminate the necessity to mount separate airtight means on a connector section between an electronic endoscope and an external unit at a stage of washing and disinfection, and maintain electrical isolation for patients' securities at the same time. The electronic endoscope system has a composition wherein an electronic endoscope which is equipped with a CCD is connected by way of a connector to a light source unit which is equipped with a light source and performs output control of at least video signals, signal transfer between the electronic endoscope and the light source unit is performed with optical elements, and electric power is supplied from the light source unit to the electronic endoscope by spatial electromagnetic means. Electric power obtained by the electromagnetic coupling means is accumulated once in a battery and the electronic endoscope is driven by the battery. In the electronic endoscope, output signals from the CCD are used as inputs for generating almost completed video signals which are to be used as monitor output video signals by a DSP.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus in which instructions are processed one by one conceptually and results thereof are conceptually orderly written into a memory comprises an instruction control circuit capable of decoding M instructions and reading operands in parallel, N (N.gtoreq.M) execution circuits capable of executing a plurality of instructions mutually in parallel, a detection circuit for determining whether all of M execution circuits of the N execution circuits required by the M instructions decoded by the instruction control circuit are vacant or not, and a reserve circuit for reserving the execution of the M decoded instruction while the detection fails to detect sufficient vacancy.
Abstract:
An electromagnetically stable Nb.sub.3 Al multifilamentary superconducting wire having a high current density at a high level of magnetic field such as 20 tesla is provided by cold drawing a composite multicore consisting of a large number of Al or Al alloy core and a Nb matrix into a multifilamentary wire, and then dipping the multifilamentary wire into a molten metal bath to coating the periphery of the wire with the molten metal for providing electromagnetically stabilizing the wire. The molten metal bath is provided within an inert gas sealing chamber.
Abstract:
An editing apparatus for editing digital video signals employs a number of video recording and/or reproduction devices, a signal processing mechanism, and a switching mechanism, wherein the number of transfer lines and the area occupied by the associated connectors is decreased by converting parallel signals into serial format.
Abstract:
A special effect generating system processes first, second, and third video signals supplied respectively from first, second, and third video signal sources to produce an output video signal with special effects. At a plurality of points of time along a first time base, first control data indicative of positions of edges of a first image represented by the first video signal are generated and stored in a first memory. At a plurality of points of time along a second time base, second control data indicative of positions of a boundary between second and third images represented by the second and third video signals are generated and stored in a second memory. The first, second, and third video signals are combined into the output video signal based on the first and second control data stored in the first and second memories.
Abstract:
A magnetic medical treatment device and method wherein a coil received in a housing is energized with a periodic current of a predetermined frequency furnished from a power supply accommodated in the housing or disposed separately outside thereof to produce a corresponding, time-varying periodic magnetic field through the coil. A stylus formed of magnetically permeable material and electromagnetically associated with the coil means is positioned in engagement with a preselected surface zone of the body surface of an individual (patient) to selectively apply the magnetic flux to the surface zone.
Abstract:
A machining parameter selective setting display apparatus for use with an electroerosion machine comprises a parameter-selection panel, parameter selection push-buttons, a numerical display panel and numerical selection push-buttons, all on a single frame or base member. The parameter-selection panel has a plurality of divided surface portions which bear different indicia representing respective different electroerosion machining parameters, and are arranged in a predetermined ordered array. The parameter selection pushbuttons are used to allow the operator of the machine to itemize the machining parameters successively and are depressed to successively highlight the indicia-bearing portions for the parameter itemization. Upon each such itemization, the numerical selection push-buttons are operated to allow the operator to select a desired value for the itemized machining parameter in conjunction with the display panel successively displaying a set of numerical values for the operator selection.
