Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for determining a rotation center of a rotary body comprises a rotary body rotating in clockwise and counterclockwise directions in cooperation with the steering for a vehicle, and original position detecting circuit which detects a predetermined original angular position which the rotary body taken per each rotation, thus judging an original angular position taken when other original angular positions are not detected within a lapse of a predetermined time after the original angular position has been detected as rotation centers in the clockwise and counterclockwise directions of the rotary body.
Abstract:
A vehicle cornering headlamp system in which the direction of illumination of the headlamps of an automobile are made to follow the actual direction of movement of the vehicle, except that the direction of illumination is returned to the straight-ahead direction more quickly than it is moved away therefrom, thereby more accurately following the usual eye movement of the driver. For this purpose, a control signal is generated which has a pulse width indicative of the steering angle but which has a variation characteristic with respect to steering angle which is larger when the steering wheel is turned back towards the straight-ahead position than when the steering wheel is turned away from the straight-ahead position.
Abstract:
A headlight for use in a vehicle and of the type including a light source and a lens which are rotatable around the optical axis of the light source and the lens to define the inclination of the distribution of the light beam in the transverse directions. The light source and the lens are formed unitally and are supported in a lamp body rotatably around the optical axis, and the lamp body is provided with a driving device for rotating the integrally formed light source and the lens.
Abstract:
A moisture-proof container including: a container body; a lid hermetically closing the container body to be openable and closable; and a desiccant storage case that is put on a bottom portion of the container body. The desiccant storage case includes: an inner case having an opening at one end; a desiccant stored in the inner case; and a moisture transmission dustproof sheet to seal the opening of the inner case. The inner case has, at an outer circumferential wall thereof, a groove connecting between an open end and a bottom portion, the container body includes a base on a bottom plate, and the desiccant storage case is put in the container body such that the moisture transmission dustproof sheet abuts the base, and a gap is formed between the bottom plate of the container body, and the moisture transmission dustproof sheet.
Abstract:
A rear projection type image display apparatus having an arrangement that a projection distance of a projection lens thereof is shortened and a density of mounting of parts relating to an optical system and an electric system is made higher. Furthermore, a width of a rear portion of a housing of the rear projection type image display apparatus is reduced rearwards at any position from the upper portion to the lower portion thereof, and the lower portion of a back cover is depressed inwards. Thus, a space required to install the rear projection type image display apparatus can be reduced, the rear surface of the apparatus can be disposed on a wall without any gap when the apparatus is installed along the wall, and the overall body of the apparatus can be received deep into a corner of walls when the apparatus is installed at the corner.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a projection lens system for use in an optical system for magnifying and projecting original images displayed on plural image display devices onto a screen through projection lenses provided in corresponding relation to the image display devices, which projection lens system comprises plural lens elements and in which according to colors or degrees of fineness of original images, the number of constituent lenses, or the shape of lens surface, or an effective aperture of at least one constituent lens element surface, or the number of constituent lenses and the shape of lens surface, or the number of constituent lenses and an effective aperture of at least one constituent lens element surface, or the shape of lens surface and an effective aperture of at least one constituent lens element surface, or the number of constituent lenses, the shape of lens surface and an effective aperture of at least one constituent lens element surface, are changed at a time.
Abstract:
A power window control apparatus has a transmitter, detachably mounted to a fixed member in a compartment, for transmitting coded infrared ray signals corresponding to opening/closing operations of right and left windows of a vehicle and a receiver fixed in the compartment, the receiver being provided with a manual switch for driving the relay circuit independently of the signal from the transmitter, a reset circuit for resetting the decoder for a predetermined period of time after an ignition switch is turned on, and a braking circuit for braking a corresponding one of motors when a driver releases a transmitter switch.
Abstract:
An automatic message announcement system for announcing the approach, arrival, and departure of vehicles such as trains at a train station. An addressable voice memory is provided for storing sequences of voice segments which are read out upon receipt of announcement command input signals to form messages for announcing that a vehicle is approaching or has arrived or is departing, with specific information such as the vehicle's destination being included in the announcement by inserting the appropriate voice segments at the proper points in the sequence. The messages are composed in such a manner that the sequences of voice segments can be altered to form shorter, but still intelligible, messages if vehicles traffic is so heavy that one message is due for announcement before the previous announcement is completed. A priority selection circuit is provided for giving priority to the announcement command input signals, along with a memory for storing the addresses of the voice segments, a control circuit for reading out the memory content on the basis of the announcement command input signals and generating a message pattern to be announced, and an edition control circuit for supplying the appropriate addresses to the voice memory so that the proper voice segments can be read out in the desired sequence in order to produce the announcements.
