    Abstract: A scroll compressor according to the present invention includes: a second scroll provided between a frame and a first scroll and forming compression chambers with the first scroll while orbiting relative to the first scroll; a discharge port provided in the first scroll to allow refrigerant compressed in the compression chamber to a lower side of the first scroll; a discharge passage formed through the first scroll and the frame to guide the refrigerant discharged through the discharge port to an upper side of the frame; and a discharge cover coupled to the first scroll, and having a space part for accommodating end portions of the discharge port and the discharge passage to guide the refrigerant discharged through the discharge port to the discharge passage, wherein a volume of a discharge space defined in the space part by the first scroll is 4.5 or more, obtained by dividing the volume of the discharge space by a stroke volume as a total volume of an initial compression chamber among the compression chambers.

    Abstract: A compressor includes a case, a drive unit, a rotary shaft, a compression unit, a muffler, a separator, and a coupling unit. The case includes a discharge part provided at one side thereof, and a reservoir space provided at the other side thereof such that refrigerant is discharged through the discharge part and oil is stored in the reservoir space. The drive unit includes a stator that generates a rotary magnetic field by coupling to an inner circumferential surface of the case, and a rotor that is contained in the stator and rotates by the rotary magnetic field. The rotary shaft is coupled in a direction farther from the discharge part in the rotor. The compression unit is coupled to the rotary shaft so as to be lubricated with oil, compresses the refrigerant, and discharges the compressed refrigerant in a direction farther from the discharge part. The muffler is coupled to the compression unit so as to guide the refrigerant to the discharge part. The separator is coupled to at least one of the rotor and the rotary shaft so as to separate the oil from the refrigerant guided to the discharge part. The coupling unit prevents the separator from being separated from the rotor or the rotary shaft.
