The present specification relates to a mobile terminal including a double-sided display unit and controlling method thereof, and more particularly, to a method of controlling a content, which is to be displayed on a second display unit in a power-off state of a mobile terminal, in a first display unit. A mobile terminal including a double-sided display unit according to one embodiment of the present specification includes a first display unit, a second display unit having an e-paper display panel, a sensor unit configured to detect an input signal and transmit the detected input signal to a processor, a power unit configured to supply power, and the processor configured to control the first display unit, the second display unit, the sensor unit and the power unit, wherein the processor is further configured to: detect a first time prior to a predetermined period from a second time at which the power of the mobile terminal is turned off, disable a detection of the input signal for the mobile terminal and control a content currently displayed on the first display unit to be displayed on the second display unit between the first time and the second time, switch a state of the mobile terminal to a power-off state.

An apparatus and method of providing a user interface (UI) on head mounted displayand the head mounted display (HMD) thereofis disclosed.The apparatus comprises a sensor unit configured to detect whether an object exits in the proximity of the HMD and if the object is detected, sense a distance between the object and the HMD, and a processor configured to apply a physical User Interface (UI) mode if the detected object is within a predetermined distance from the HMD, wherein the physical UI mode provides a display for a virtual object, the processor is further configured to adjust a display distance of the virtual object, when the virtual object is a 3-dimensional (3D) object and the 3D object includes a touch recognition surface, in order for the touch recognition surface to coincide with a surface of the object, and display the virtual object based on the adjusted display distance.

Disclosed are a smart cup including a function of containing a drinking substance and a control method thereof. A smart cup includes a main body including an opening, a cover for covering at least one portion of the opening, a driving unit for moving the cover, a motion sensing unit for sensing a motion of the main body, a proximity sensor for sensing an object contacted with or adjacent to the opening, and a controller controlling the driving unit such that, if a motion of the main body is sensed, the cover covers at least one portion of the opening, based on whether there exists an object contacted with or adjacent to the opening.

A terminal device, an information display system and a method of controlling the terminal device are disclosed. The terminal device includes a camera unit configured to capture a picture in which an external device connected with a network is included, a control unit configured to detect the external device from the captured picture, a communication unit configured to transmit and receive data and a display unit configured to display the captured picture. If the detected external device in the captured picture is selected, the control unit controls the communication unit to receive information on the external device based on a sensing history of the external device and can control the display unit to display the received information on the external device on the display unit.
