Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection of a pilot signal, to improve the reduction of the signal and to reduce a distortion by removing the frequency band of a carrier signal by means of a band preventing filter arranged on a pilot detecting path and permitting the frequency of the pilot signal to pass through a pilot detecting circuit. SOLUTION: The coupler 64 of a pilot signal detecting system 62 provides radio frequency(RF) expression of the amplified carrier signal and the pilot signal from a main signal path 16 to a pilot signal detecting path. The band blocking filter 68 permits the pilot signal to pass through the pilot detecting circuit 70 through the frequency band of the carrier signal is removed. The filter 68 enables detecting a wider range of amplitude as against the pilot signal through the use of the pilot detecting circuit 70 by removing the carrier signal. Thus, the carrier signal is not interfered with the pilot signal so that pilot signal detection is improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire information over entire operation frequency bands of an electric circuit, without causing interferences with all the signals to be generated by providing a carrier circuit which is set, so that a double side-band pilot signal arranged outside the operation frequency band or in proximity to a boundary of the operation frequency band is generated. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a carrier circuit 156, connected to a double side-band(DSB) modulator 154 and a detection circuit 180. Information acquired in the detection circuit 180 is collected from a double side-band pilot signal connected to an electric circuit 108 by using the carrier circuit 156 and the DSB modulator 154. The carrier circuit 156 and the DSB modulator 154 generate a pilot signal and the detection circuit 180 acquires information from the pilot signal. In this case, the pilot signal is positioned outside an operation frequency band of the electrical circuit 108 in spectrum and will not interfere with all the impressed or generated signals positioned within the frequency band of the electric circuit 108.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce distortion by consisting of a step, etc., for adjusting a relative phase and amplitude with a pilot signal on a signal path based on a pilot signal on a signal path after a combining step. SOLUTION: A pilot signal is generated and injected to a main signal path 18 before the amplifier 12. A part of amplified pilot signal from the amplifier 12 is connected from the path 18 by using a connector 19 and arranged on a connecting path 20. A connector 22 connects a pilot signal from the path 20 onto a feed forward path 24. This pilot signal is feed forward on the path 24 and combined with the pilot signal on the path 18. Then, the output of the connector 22 is impressed to a gain and a phase adjuster 26, which adjust the phase and/or amplitude of the signal on the path 24.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for eliminating distortion caused form an electric circuit and interference between signals. SOLUTION: This method erases distortion of a signal by an electric circuit 108 included in the control system by using information obtained from a received pilot (P) signal. The P signal is fed to the electric circuit and an input signal is fed to an input section of the control system respectively and a mixer 162 of a pilot signal synchronization detection circuit detects the P signal in terms of synchronization based on the P signal fed to the electric circuit and appearing at an output section of the control system and the P signal fed to a pilot signal synchronization detection circuit 160, the detected P signal is fed to an averaging circuit 164 and the averaging circuit almost eliminates interference between the P signal and other signal fed to the electric circuit or produced by the electric circuit, a detection circuit configuration 132 acquires information relating to characteristic distortion from the P signal detected in terms of synchronization, converts it into a control signal and a gain phase circuit 122 almost eliminates distortion including residual distortion by using this control signal.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gain and a system for adjusting a relative phase and gains between signals to be connected in a distortion reduction system. SOLUTION: An error signal inputted through a filter 79 is inputted to a DSP 80 through an A/D converter 78. System information 82 is inputted to the DSP 80 apart from the error signal. The DSP 80 outputs a gain or a phase adjustment control signal in accordance with the error signal and/or the other system information 82 and reduces the error signal. Further, the DSP 80 decides the size of an adjustment step or an adjustment coefficient by using previous information or cumulative information such as an error signal background that can be stored in a storage device 84. The gain and a phase adjustment signal obtained in this way are respectively transmitted to the next stage through D/A converters 86 and 87 and further reproduction filters 88 and 89.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively easily reduce distortion made by processing circuits by obtaining information used to correct the distortion separated by a 1st circuit from a sideband wave of a signal appearing in the output of the system. SOLUTION: The processing circuits 130A to 130H and the 1st circuit 108 are, for instance a high frequency electric amplifier, the distortion by the circuit 108 is separated by a loop 1 at the point A, and the separated distortion is corrected on the basis of information retrieved from the sideband wave of a signal that is sent to a loop 2 and supplied to the processing circuits. When the corrected and separated distortion is supplied to the circuits 130A to 130H, the distortion is reduced so as to be negated by distortion of the processing circuits. A scanning circuit used to obtain information on the distortion by the circuits 130A to 130H is provided with a voltage controlled oscillator 144 connected to sweep receivers 146 and 138, and further, the scanning circuit is provided with log amplifiers 148 and 140, a signal detection device 150 and a timer integrating device 142.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire information extending over the entire operating frequency bands of an electric circuit without causing interferences with a generated signal by sweeping a pilot signal modulated carrier signal so as to be passed over all operation frequency bands of the electric circuit. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a carrier circuit 171 which is connected to a simple side band(SSB) modulator 188 and a detection circuit 191. Information acquired at the detection circuit 191 is collected from a pilot signal modulated carrier signal impressed to an electric circuit 108 by using the carrier circuit 171 and the simple side band modulator 188. The carrier circuit 171 and the SSB modulator 188 cause the pilot signal modulated carrier signal to pass across the operation frequency band of the electric circuit 108 (sweeping the frequency within the operation frequency band of the electric circuit 108). In this case, the detection circuit 191 impresses the pilot signal modulated carrier signal to be sweps to the electric circuit 108, or acquires information from the pilot signal, only when interference does not exist between the detection circuit and a signal generated in the electric circuit 108.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an expanded dynamic range (SFDR) which contains no spurious by converting a control analog signal into a digital signal on a 1st path for generation of a converted signal that includes a spurious distortion. SOLUTION: An A/D (analog/digital) system 10 receives an analog signal S which is converted into a digital signal, and the signal S generates the spurious of a level where the conversion of the signal S that is carried out by a 1st A/D 12 is allowed. An amplitude is secured at the outside of an SFDR of the A/D 12 to generate a converted digital signal. A limiting device 14 controls, i.e., clips the amplitude of the signal S at a step before the A/D 12 and generates an output signal S as a result including an allowable spurious distortion. A signal distortion D is generated when the amplitude of an input signal S is controlled. Then the distortion D can be eliminated from the output of the system 10 when a sample of the distortion D is sent to the preceding stage.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for controlling amplification gain and phase shift applied to the input signal of an amplifier under changeable condition in a control system by which the distortion of a high output linear amplifier is reduced by using a feed/forward in the high output linear amplifier, and to provide a feed/forward circuit incorporated with an automatic gain and phase controller. SOLUTION: This method is provided for controlling the automatic gain and phase shift applied to the input signal of an amplifier under changing consitions, and a feed forward circuit 100 is provided with an automatic gain and a phase controller. The automatic gain and phase controller monitor the output signal of the amplifier, and operate the amplification and phase of the input signal of the amplifier (by a gain phase adjuster), thus the amplification and phase of the output signal of the amplifier can be made equal to those of the output signal of a former amplifier.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the transmission of unrequired signals by generating signals proportional to the leakage signal level of the local oscillator of a radio frequency converter or the like and canceling leakage by a feedback correction loop. SOLUTION: Composite signals generated by input IF signals and signals LO from the local oscillator 10 in a frequency converter 20 are inputted to a detection circuit 30, an error voltage proportional to an unrequired signal level is generated and fed back to the frequency converter 20 and the action of canceling unrequired signals is performed. The error voltage is directly supplied to the converter in the case that the converter 20 is provided with one input voltage like a mixer and it is supplied through a null circuit 40, DC balance is adjusted so as to keep an LO level low and control signals are generated in the case that plural DC connection IF input ports are provided like a quadrature modulator. Also, the detection circuit 30 adds sine wave and cosine wave output, takes an absolute value and generates error signals and thus, an excellent operation is obtained at a low cost.
