Abstract: A reciprocating saw includes a motor having a rotor that is rotatable relative to a stator. A rotary shaft is fixedly connected to, and rotatably driven by the rotor. The rotary shaft has a rotational axis. A reciprocating-motion converting mechanism is driven by rotation of the rotary shaft, and a slider is reciprocally moved in a first direction by the reciprocating-motion converting mechanism. The rotational axis of the motor and the first direction form an angle of 45-135°.

Abstract: A blade for a reciprocating saw includes: an elongated body having one end that is detachably attachable to the reciprocating saw; and at least one hard tip having a greater hardness than the body and being bonded to the body.
