Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator with a switching chamber which eliminates local supercooling during the setting of temperature other than freezing in the switching chamber that enables switching between freezing and any temperature zone other than freezing. SOLUTION: A damper device control means 57 is provided to control the opening or the closing of a damper device 50 of a switching chamber which is adapted to deliver returned cool air of a cold storage compartment 27 and a low temperature chamber 35 to the switching chamber 29 based on a temperature detection means 55 of the switching chamber during the setting of temperature other than freezing of a switching means 47. In the setting of freezing, a delivery duct 49 of the switching chamber is set large enough to secure a freezing temperature. In the setting of the temperature other than the freezing, this eliminates local supercooling and uneven temperature thereby maintaining the temperature at a proper value.
