    Abstract: A vibrating compressor which may be employed in refrigerators is provided which includes an elastic mechanism designed to produce reaction against movement of a piston through a moving mechanism such as an electric motor to oscillate the piston to change the volume of a compression chamber. The elastic mechanism consists of a plurality of discs connecting at the center with the piston. Each of the discs has slits curved in a scroll fashion to form spring arms. The discs are laid to overlap each other and shifted in angular position from each other so that the arms of one of the discs coincide with the slits of adjacent one of the discs, thereby avoiding direct contact of the arms of adjacent two of the discs.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a sliding loss and to enhance operation efficiency by providing a fixed element constituted of a stator of a motor and a cylinder, a moving element constituted of a mover of the motor and a piston and an elastic element whose part is fixed to the moving element and the fixed element and forming a recessed part in a sliding part of the cylinder and the piston. SOLUTION: When a motor 3 is energized, a mover 3b fixed to a piston 14 is sucked in a magnetic pole direction of a stator 3a, continuously, the mover 3b is pushed in an opposite direction with elastic force stored in an elastic element 8 disposed between the mover 3b and a block 6 and the piston 14 is reciprocated in an axial direction by this repetition. As a result, coolant gas is led to a compression chamber 9 within a cylinder 4 via a low pressure chamber 7a, and after coolant gas is compressed, coolant gas is discharged via a high pressure chamber 7b. At this time, sliding loss is reduced by reducing sliding area of the piston 14 and the cylinder 4 and an efficient operation is realized by forming recessed parts 14a of a plurality of lines which are not continuous in an edge peripheral direction and extend in the axial direction on an outer peripheral part of the piston 14.
