Abstract:
A reverse-extension MOS (REMOS) device and a method for forming the same are provided. The REMOS device includes a gate dielectric over a semiconductor substrate, a gate electrode on the gate dielectric, a lightly doped drain/source (LDD) region in the semiconductor substrate and having a portion extending under the gate electrode, a deep source/drain region in the semiconductor substrate, and an embedded region enclosed by a top surface of the semiconductor substrate, the LDD region, and the deep source/drain region. The embedded region is of a first conductivity type, and the LDD region and the deep source/drain region are of a second conductivity type opposite the first conductivity type. The embedded region and the LDD region are preferably formed simultaneously with the formation of a LDD region and a pocket region of an additional MOS device, respectively.

A speed measuring device for a beach buggy includes a chain wheel rotated by the engine of a buggy, a connecting tube firmly connected to the chain wheel, a bearing fitted in the connecting tube, a gear set, and a fixing unit combined together. The fixing plate, the gear set, the connecting tube and the bearing are assembled together with an elongate rod with thread formed in the lower end portion and then fixed with the chain wheel. Then a hole base is formed on a rear small diameter portion of the gear set for a cable to extend in to transmit speed of the rotating chain wheel to a speedometer for a user to know the speed of the beach buggy.

An oscillating disk dental hygiene device of the present invention includes a quick coupling assembly having a first stage adapted to be coupled to a water source fixture and a second stage adapted to be quickly attachable and detachable from the first stage; a main housing defining a water chamber and having an inlet and an outlet, the inlet being coupled with the second stage of the quick coupling assembly; and a disk defining at least one opening therein and being disposed in the water chamber, the disk adapted to oscillate between a first substantially neutral position and a second position substantially obstructing the outlet when water entering the water chamber via the inlet has a pressure within a predetermined range, the oscillating disk creating a pulsating water stream exiting the water chamber via the outlet. A hand held nozzle is coupled to the outlet and is adapted to concentrate and direct the pulsating water stream into a pulsating water jet.

Piezoelectric fibers include a polypeptide wherein molecules of the polypeptide have electric dipole moments that are aligned such that the piezoelectric fiber provides a piezoelectric effect at an operating temperature. A piezoelectric component provides a plurality of piezoelectric fibers, each comprising an organic polymer. A method of producing piezoelectric fibers includes electrospinning a polymer solution to form a fiber and winding the fiber onto a rotating target in which the rotating target is electrically grounded. An acoustic sensor includes a plurality acoustic transducers, wherein the plurality of acoustic transducers are structured and arranged to detect a corresponding plurality of vector components of an acoustic signal, and at least one of the plurality of acoustic transducers comprises a piezoelectric fiber.
Abstract:
A system and method of analyzing a power grid in an integrated circuit includes inputting a circuit design to a test bench, inputting a plurality of initial values for the circuit design in to the test bench, setting a current time t to 0 value for an initial time (t0) of the operation of the circuit design, representing each capacitor in an RC circuit corresponding to the power grid circuit design by the each capacitor's respective time variant equivalent companion model, describing each one of the plurality of RC equivalent circuits mathematically as one of a corresponding plurality of linear equations, storing the plurality of linear equations in a matrix Y0 for time t0, resolving the matrix Y0 to determine a DC operating point, updating the RC equivalent circuits and the corresponding plurality of linear equations at a second time step t1=t+h where h is a time step value equal to the current time t and a next simulated operation time, storing the updated plurality of linear equations in a matrix Y1 for time t1, inverting the matrix Y1 to form inverted matrix Y1−1, resolving the inverted matrix Y1−1, calculating a new time step and setting the current time t to t+h, comparing the new time step h to a plurality of time steps in a time step database, selecting one of the plurality of time steps substantially equal to the new time step and recalling a solution corresponding to the selected time step.
Abstract:
An engine suspension device of a beach buggy includes a car frame composed of metal rods welded together, an engine hanger, an engine supporter and an auxiliary hanger. The car frame is formed with an interior space. The engine hanger has its upper portion pivotally fitted with the support lugs of the car frame, while the auxiliary hanger has its top ends pivotally combined with the pivotal bases of the car frame and its bottom end pivotally connected with the support frame of the engine supporter, letting the engine supporter and the engine hanger respectively extending into the interior space of the car frame. Then an engine is placed inside the car frame, and the engine hanger together with the engine supporter is pivotally combined with the casing of the engine, lessening vibration of a beach buggy, and preventing the transmission chain from becoming loosened and worn out and the car frame from twisting sideward.
Abstract:
The dripper and mini-spray include an inlet and an outlet coupled to a housing which defines a substantially spherical or ellipsoidal chamber. The chamber houses a ball which can roll about the chamber freely, but which is too large to exit through either the inlet or outlet. The outlet includes a cradle which is formed with ridges and/or slots. The inlet of the dripper is horizontally attached to an irrigation line and with water pressure in the line the ball is forced against the cradle, effectively closing off the outlet, however some water is able to escape via openings formed by the ridges/slots. At the beginning of each irrigation cycle a small whirlpool is created in the chamber, pushing the ball about, which flushes out any debris which has accumulated in the chamber.
