Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device that achieves highly efficient light emission. SOLUTION: The optical semiconductor device 10 includes a pair of leads 11, a mold 14 which is molded integrally with the leads 11 and has a recess 14a formed on the upper surface of the mold 14 to expose the leads 11, an optical semiconductor element 15 placed on the leads 11 in the recess 14a, and a sealing resin filling the recess 14a of the mold 14. The lead 11 exposes part of its side from the mold 14 to cause the exposed part to serve as a terminal, and has a step on the backside of the lead 11 that is adjacent to the terminal. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear light source device, and a backlight device using the same, capable of restraining brightness unevenness of a light guide plate, by widening distribution of light from light-emitting elements in the vicinity of an incident face of the light guide plate. SOLUTION: The linear light source device 100 is provided with a long-size substrate 101 long sideways, a plurality of light-emitting elements 102 loaded on the substrate at intervals in a lateral direction, and a translucent member 103 covering the light-emitting elements 102. An outer surface of the translucent member 103 is equipped with a first concave part 104 above the light-emitting elements 102 and a second concave part 105 above between the light-emitting elements adjacent in a lateral direction, as well as a stepped part 106 so as an inside face of the first concave part 104 to be spread toward outside.
