Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent defective transmission tube or generation of in-tube arcing by using a control signal so as to pass a trigger signal when a level discriminating means discriminates a prescribed value or over of a peak value of an RF input signal and stopping the trigger signal when the peak value is a prescribed value or below. CONSTITUTION:When the discriminating means circuit 11 detects that an RF input signal fed to a CFA is a prescribed level or over, a gate circuit 12 is conductive to pass through an external trigger signal, a switching element 5 is driven to generate a required modulation pulse, which is fed to the CFA, causing normal amplification. On the other hand, when an RF level discriminating circuit 11 detects that the level of the RF input signal is lowered, the circuit 11 gives a signal to the gate circuit 12 to stop the external trigger signal and a switching element 5 of a line type modulator receives no trigger. Since the line type modulator generates no modulation pulse when no drive trigger is fed to the switching element, the in-tube arcing of the CFA is not incurred.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a transmitting output of every pulse transmission constant by changing a connected state of a current adjusting means of a load transmitting pipe by a switching means, at every transmitting pulse. CONSTITUTION:Switching elements 6-8 are turned on by applying a driving signal from a driving device 12, in synchronization with a transmitting trigger signal, one of them is selected, and synchronizes with a switching element 4. Variable resistors 9-11 are adjusted so that the peak value of the corresponding pulse current becomes constant. When #1, 2 and 3 pulses in the figure are generated, an on-operation is executed in order of the elements 6, 7 and 8, together with the element 4. A charging voltage of a capacitor 2 generates a voltage drop corresponding to a value of the peak current of a current flowing to a load transmitting pipe 3, and if it is not recovered to the original voltage before the next pulse current is made to flow, and the next transmitting trigger is inputted when it is lower than the original voltage by DELTAE, the current flowing to the load transmitting pipe 3 decreases in accordance with DELTAE and a resistance of a discharging circuit. Accordingly, a current variation portion between transmitting pulses can be decreased by adjusting most suitably a resistance value of the variable resistors 9-11 in accordance with the voltage variation portion DELTAE.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a three-dimensional radar apparatus in which height- measured data on a specific target can be acquired with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A specific-target-data generator 11 generates three-dimensional information and a control signal on a target which is specified by an indication device 9a, and the specified target is irradiated with a beam by means of a beam controller 15a. At this time, a transmission-signal controller 12 is controlled, the frequency of transmission radio waves is changed, the beam controller 15a increases the beam irradiation time, the number of hits is changed, and a polarized-wave controller 18 controls a polarized-wave changeover device 49 so as to change the transmission radio waves and polarized waves independently or in a combined manner. As a result, the influence of a multipath or a lobing operation can be reduced, the influence of a signal change portion due to an increase in the number of hits can be reduced, and an optimum reception state can be formed by changing the polarized waves. As a result, the accuracy of an angle measurement is enhanced, and the accuracy of information on altitude can be increased.

CONSTITUTION:After a radar pulse signal received by a radar is synchronously converted into an intermediate frequency band, it is developed into a frequency spectrum through a filter bank 17 which has required frequency resolution and frequency band and the features of the frequency spectrum are analyzed by a spurious analyzing circuit 18. Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the displaying of a true target alone preventing the display of a false target by a method wherein a specified signal removing section is provided between a signal processing section and an indicator and a target with a receiving time the earliest alone is left to remove the target with a uniform delay among those which always delay in reception. CONSTITUTION:A radar pulse signal arriving from two bearings of azimuths and is received an antenna 1 and the signal is separated with a signal processing section 3 via a receiving section 2 to be inputted into a specified signal removing section 4. Then, the removing section 4 examines a receiving time in details between several hits to be compared with receiving of a plurality of targets. A plurality of targets presenting a fixed difference in receiving time with the same frequency is detected by statistic processing to estimate and determine that the targets are false ones because of effect by reflection and an indication to the effect is transmitted to the processing section 3. As a result, a data of the target assigned is discarded and remaining target data are outputted to an indicator 5 through the removing section 4. In other words, the data with a fixed delay always noted in the receiving time is discarded and the data with the receiving time the earliest alone is outputted to the indicator 5.

Also, a designator for measurement 5 is used to detect time difference of transmission and reception of these radar pulses and response commands. Then, a position of a target system is calculated based on each time difference.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce an effect of lobbing sharply and to improve the precision in calculation of distance by calculating the distance to a target on the basis of the average value of a reception signal power at each prescribed number of hits and a known value of an effective radiant power. CONSTITUTION:A series circuit of an integrating circuit 10 and an average reception power calculating circuit 11 is interposed between a reception peak power measuring circuit 8 and a distance calculating circuit 9, and pulse repetition interval (PRI) data are outputted from a data processing system 6 to the calculating circuit 11. In other words, a reception peak power at each hit obtained by the reception peak power measuring circuit 8 is integrated by the integrating circuit 10. The result of integration is subjected to an average value processing in the following calculating circuit 11 by using the PRI data thereby an effect of lobbing is removed. Consequently, highly-precise calculation of distance can be executed in the distance calculating circuit 9 on the basis of effective radiant power (ERP) data and a average reception power.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain air traffic control and monitor function in all azimuths by a method wherein a short pulse transmission signal generating system and a long pulse transmission signal generating system are stop-controlled independently of each other while both control signals are azimuth-blanking controlled independently of each other. CONSTITUTION:An azimuth blanking control circuit 13 generates azimuth blanking control signals synchronizing with antenna rotation angle signals to output them respectively to signal stop control circuits 12a, 12b while a short pulse transmission signal generating system and a long pulse transmission signal generating system can be independently stop-controlled. In other words with respect to both long and short pulse transmission signals or with respect only to the long pulse transmission signal, azimuth blanking can be applied, thereby being fit to electric wave environments of surrounding areas. This can prevent radar detecting characteristics in a near distance area from being lost, maintaining air traffic control and monitor function in all azimuths.

CONSTITUTION:As for a sweep signal, in order that a full range R6 can be displayed, a point which reaches a level E in the range R6 is the same, but in order to bring a proximity target to an enlarged display, the enlarged display is executed up to a range R2 by a prescribed enlargement ratio, and accordingly, a level of the sweep signal becomes E' corresponding to the enlargement ratio in the range R2, and thereafter, it rises from the level E' to E extending from the range R2 to R6. That is to say, the level of the sweep signal in this case becomes a broken line shown by O-E'-E. that which approaches such as a radar target 2 displayed by such a sweep signal is brought to an enlarged display and brought to a monitor control with a high accuracy, and also targets 1, 3 being in a long distance are also prevented from being missed from an image visual field.
