Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling member having the improved endurance life in a hostile environment for use in a wheel bearing device; the wheel bearing device having the long life even in the hostile environment; and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the rolling member for use in the wheel bearing device comprises the steps of: preparing a steel member; carburizing or carbonitriding and quenching; induction-hardening; and finishing. In the step of preparing the steel member, the steel member is made from steel and is formed into a contour shape of the rolling member for use in the wheel bearing device. In the step of carburizing or carbonitriding the steel member, the steel member is carburized or carbonitrided and then quench-hardened. In the step of induction-hardening the steel member, a region including a part to be the rolling surface of the rolling member for use in the wheel bearing device is further quench-hardened to control an amount of retained austenite in a region between the surface to be the rolling surface and a plane of 0.3 mm or less in depth therefrom to 50 vol.% to 70 vol.%. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment resistant bearing steel having an excellent rolling fatigue life even under using conditions where hydrogen embrittlement peeling occurs without remarkably changing the conventional heat treatment conditions or the like by adding alloy elements with SUJ 2 as a base. SOLUTION: The environment resistant bearing steel has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.6 to 1.3% C, 0.1 to 1.0% Si, ≤1.5% Mn, ≤0.03% P, ≤0.03% S, 0.3 to 2.5% Cr, 0.05 to 2.0% V, ≤0.050% Al, ≤0.0015% O, ≤0.003% Ti, ≤0.015% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and in which surface hardness after quenching and tempering treatment is ≥58 by HRC, and fine V based carbides with the maximum diameter of ≤500 nm are dispersedly precipitated. SOLUTION: The angular ball bearing 1 to be used at a dn value 900000 or more comprises an outer ring 2 having a rolling surface 2a on the inner periphery, an inner ring 3 having a rolling surface 3a opposed to the rolling surface 2a of the outer ring 2, and a plurality of balls 4 laid between the outer ring 2 and the inner ring 3. At least one member of the inner ring 3, the outer ring 2 and the balls 4 is formed of a steel material which contains at least V as an alloy element, and in which the contents of C, Si, Mn, Cr and V on the surface and the surface layer subject to rolling contact are C: 0.5-1.2 mass%, Si: 0.1-1 mass%, Mn: 0.1-1.5 mass%, Cr: 0.1-2.2 mass%, and V: 0.1 mass% or more. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a rolling element and a device capable of having each effect of settling a transportation means of a workpiece with a simple structure, easily mounting the production line under the low thermal influence on an environment taking advantage of a high-frequency induction hardening, quality stabilization and energy cost reduction. SOLUTION: A sizing cutter 1 to successively cut a wire-like blank material WA is provided, while extruding thereof. A guide pipe 6 to move the cut workpiece W inside by extrusion with the sizing cutter 1 is provided. A heater coil 7 for high-frequency induction heating the work W moving inside to a quenching temperature is installed in circumference of the guide pipe 6. A quenching means 8 to quench the work W and a heating coil 9 for tempering are installed at the lower side. A surface treatment means 3 to surface-treat the work W successively extruded from the guide pipe 6 such as outside diameter polishing, etc., after thermally heat treated thereby. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency heat treatment method for a ring-shaped product by which the temperature of a ring-shaped product can uniformly be raised in a short time, and a device therefor is made small in size, and to provide a high frequency heat treatment device. SOLUTION: A plurality of horseshoe-shaped heating coils 1 are arranged corresponding to a plurality of parts in the circumferential direction of a ring-shaped work W as the object to be treated, and a part in the circumferential direction of the ring-shaped work W is interposed inside the heating coils 1. While rotating the ring-shaped work W around a ring center O, high frequency electric current is fed to the heating coils, and induction heating for quenching or tempering is performed. In the plurality of heating coils 1, at least one selected from distance, angle and orientation to the ring-shaped W may be different from each other. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly micronize crystal grains in the whole body of a part by strictly controlling the heating temperature in secondary heat treatment in a heat treatment system in which a nitrogen-enriched layer is formed in primary heat treatment and a re-quenching is applied in the secondary heat treatment. SOLUTION: A bearing part is cooled to the temperature below an A 1 transformation point after heating to the temperature exceeding the A 1 transformation point with a primary heat treatment apparatus 1, to form the nitrogen-enriched layer on the surface thereof. The bearing part after applying the primary heat treatment, is applied to the heat treatment with a secondary heat treatment apparatus 2 which cools to the temperature below the A 1 transformation point after heating to the temperature exceeding the A 1 transformation point. In a heater 21 in the secondary heat treatment apparatus 2, an induction-heating is applied and the temperature of the induction-heated bearing part, is detected and a feedback control is applied to the heater 21 according to the detected value. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the unevenness of heat treatment quality in each steel-made part and the variation of heat treatment quality among the steel-made parts. SOLUTION: A heater 21 in a secondary heat treatment apparatus 2, is constituted of a high frequency heating apparatus for heating a bearing part by induction heating (high frequency heating). In the heater 21, each bearing part is heated piece by piece at the temperature exceeding an A 1 transformation point for a predetermined time. Since each bearing part is heated piece by piece, the unevenness of the heat treatment quality in each bearing part and the variation of the heat treatment quality among mutual bearing parts, are reduced. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform two-step quenching treatments to machining parts such as bearing parts, at a low cost, in a heat treatment system for applying two steps of heat treatment (primary heat treatment and secondary heat treatment) to steel-made parts. SOLUTION: In a primary heat treatment apparatus 1, after heating the bearing parts to the temperature exceeding A 1 transformation point with a heating machine 11, a nitrogen-rich layer is formed on the surfaces of the bearing parts by cooling them lower than the A 1 transformation point. Successively, the bearing parts are shifted to a secondary heat treatment apparatus 2, and after heating to the temperature exceeding the A 1 transformation point and lower than the primary quenching temperature, the parts are cooled lower than the A 1 transformation point. The bearing parts are supplied into the secondary heat treatment apparatus 2 after applying the heat treatment with the primary heat treatment apparatus 1 and applying a tempering with a tempering machine 5.
