Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retention mechanism for an immersion objective lens or an immersion medium, which is configured such that when a specimen is observed and measured, the immersion medium supplied to the tip of an objective lens is hindered from dripping from the tip of the objective lens even if the measurement involves a large amount of movement and takes a long time, and also to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The retention mechanism for the immersion medium includes: an immersion objective lens 10; a bottom plate 41 with an opening for engaging with the immersion objective lens; a wall 42 disposed around the bottom plate 41; an immersion medium supply section 34 for supplying an immersion medium to the tip of the objective lens; and a droplet discharge part 35 which is disposed near the wall of the bottom plate and discharges a droplet of the immersion medium from the tip of the objective lens. The bottom plate has a first ring member (α portion ) made of a first material for holding the immersion medium, which is disposed so as to surround the opening. The bottom plate inclines so that the opening side is higher than the wall side. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid immersion objective lens reducing the risk that a liquid immersion medium supplied to an objective lens tip part spills out and drops down from the objective lens tip part, in observing and measuring a sample, even when a moving amount for measurement is large, and even when requiring a long time, a holding mechanism for the liquid immersion medium, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: This liquid immersion object lens is formed of the tip part, a lens ring part, and a lens outer frame 10, the lend ring part includes the whole inclined surface inclined from the lens of the tip part up to the lens outer frame, and includes the first ring-like member (α part) for holding the liquid immersion medium that is an area surface-treated with the first material for holding the liquid immersion medium ring-likely, to surround the tip part within an area including the tip part of the liquid immersion objective lens and the lend ring part, and an affinity of the first ring-like member to the liquid immersion medium is lower than that of an area adjacent to an inner side of the surface-treated area to the liquid immersion medium. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feces treatment method and a feces treatment container capable of performing stable nucleic acid recovery. SOLUTION: In this feces treatment container 1 equipped with a feces sampling tool 100, a suspension holding part 110 and a treating liquid holding part 120, wherein a feces sample preparing solution S is stored in a solution holding container 121, a feces sample E collected by the feces sampling tool 100 is adjusted into a fixed amount by scraping off excessive feces by a guide part 112 when the feces sampling tool 100 is fitted to a feces holding part 110. Thereafter, by pressing the feces sample E by a piston 103, the feces sample E is shredded and dispersed into feces holding container 111 by a dispersion member 113. By pressing the feces holding container 111 into the solution holding container 121, a projection part 115 drills and breaks a sealing film 122, to thereby mix the dispersed feces sample E with the feces sample preparing solution S.
