PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which can reduce power consumption while maintaining high transmittance of a dielectric layer.SOLUTION: In the plasma display panel, a back plate and a front plate that has a display electrode and a dielectric layer are opposed to each other. The dielectric layer comprises silica particles and a glass layer and has a dielectric constant of 5 or less. The silica particles have particle diameters of 100-1000 nm. The surface area of each of the silica particles is two or more times as large as the surface area of a sphere circumscribed about the silica particle.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a plasma display panel securing high reliability.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a plasma display panel of the present invention in order to solve the problem includes a process of forming a display electrode and a process of forming a dielectric layer, on one substrate. The process of forming a dielectric layer includes: a step of applying a dielectric paste on the substrate; and a step of drying the applied dielectric paste. A difference between a boiling point of a solvent having a highest boiling point among solvents included in the dielectric paste and a drying temperature at the step of drying is set at 140°C or above and 180°C or below.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable provision of a plasma display panel that has high luminescent efficiency by improving reflectance of a surface of a discharge space side of a bus electrode. SOLUTION: The plasma display is formed by facing a front panel in which electrodes and a dielectric layer on a glass substrate, and a back panel in which the electrodes, partitions and phosphor layer on a substrate. The electrodes formed on the front panel has a plurality of structures including a first electrode layer formed using a material including glass component and black component and a second electrode layer including Ag component, and a softening point of the glass component of the first electrode layer is 520-580°C and the second glass electrode doesn't include the glass component. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel of high image display quality with high luminance and high reliability secured by realizing alleviation of fluctuation of electrode line width of a front plate. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the plasma display panel comprises a process of forming a photosensitive composition layer on a substrate, a process of exposing the photosensitive composition layer into a pattern corresponding to an electrode with the use of a mask, and a process of developing the photosensitive composition layer. The process of development is carried out with the substrate in a state erected, and that, an opened width of the pattern corresponding to the electrode of the mask is to be wider at a lower part of the substrate than at an upper part. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having further reduced local driving noises, wherein one peripheral structure can be adjusted matching to the other peripheral structure on the long or short side and a clearance between a front plate and a back plate is kept uniform all over to actualize constant required discharge voltage on a peripheral portion of the PDP. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel 1 includes a structure for specifying the clearance size of a discharge space in a display region, where peripheral portions of a pair of substrates opposed to each other across the discharge space is sealed by a sealing material. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having a long lifetime and high productivity, while it is constituted of a material which does not contain lead component in substance. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes a front substrate in which a plurality of display electrodes are arranged and a rear substrate in which address electrodes are arranged so as to cross the display electrodes and an insulator layer is arranged on the address electrodes, which are arranged facing each other so that a discharge space may be formed in-between. The insulator layer is formed of a plurality of layers, and the rate of porosity of the insulator layer on the rear substrate side is smaller than that on the insulator layer on the discharge space side, and the insulator layer on the rear substrate side is a reflection layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a metal bus electrode from the same material while maintaining electrode quality regardless of a state of a background of the metal bus electrode, in paste used for a plasma display panel.SOLUTION: Paste to be used for a plasma display panel (PDP) is used for a PDP in which a pair of substrates are disposed while being opposed to each other, and in one of the substrates, a display electrode and a dielectric layer are formed. The paste contains at least a first glass material and a second glass material, and a difference between softening points of the first glass material and the second glass material is from 5°C or higher to 30°C or lower.
