Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk in which stereoscopic videos and high-quality video signals are recorded and to provide a system for reproducing the optical disk, the optical disk and the system being made compatible with a conventional system which reproduces an ordinary video.SOLUTION: A reproducing device which is used for reproducing stereoscopic videos and high-quality videos obtains a stereoscopic video or a high-quality video by reproducing both first and second interleaved blocks on the optical disk 1 in which a first video signal and a second video signal are divided into frame groups of one GOP (Group of Picture) or more and recorded alternately on right and left sides, and a reproducing device which is not used for reproducing the stereoscopic videos and the high-quality videos obtains the ordinary video by reproducing only the first or second interleaved blocks by jumping tracks.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain compatibility for a conventional system for reproducing normal images in an optical disk, in which three-dimensional images and high-quality video signals are recorded, with a system for reproducing the optical disk.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional/high-quality correspondence type reproducing apparatus reproduces both a first and second interleave blocks, obtained by respectively dividing a first video signal and a second video signal into frame groups of 1 GOP and more, and alternately recording respective frame groups on right and left sides of an optical disk 1 to obtain a three-dimensional image or a high quality image. A three-dimensional/high-quality non-correspondence type reproducing apparatus reproduces only either the first or second interleave blocks by track jump to obtain a normal image. The three-dimensional/high-quality correspondence type reproducing apparatus synchronously outputs an image signal for a right eye, an image signal for a left eye and a sound signal.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compatibility with a conventional system for reproducing normal images in an optical disk in which three-dimensional images and high quality video signals are recorded and a system for reproducing the images and the video signals from the optical disk. SOLUTION: A stereoscopic/high quality correspondence type reproducing device obtains three-dimensional images or high quality images by reproducing both of first and second interleaved blocks which are obtained by respectively dividing first and second video signals into frame groups of one GOP or more and alternately recording the divided frame groups on the right and left sides of the optical disk 1. In a stereoscopic/high quality non-correspondence type reproducing device, only either one of the first and second interleaved blocks is track-jumped and reproduced to obtain normal images. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compatibility with a conventional system that reproduces normal images in an optical disk, in which stereoscopic images and high-definition image signals are recorded and reproduction system thereof. SOLUTION: An interleave block is obtained, by dividing first image signals and second image signals into frame groups of one GOP or more which are to be recorded alternately in an optical disk 1. In a stereoscopic high-definition reproducing device, stereoscopic images or high-definition images are obtained by reproducing both the first and second interleave blocks. In a non-stereoscopic-high-definition reproducing device, either the first or second interleave blocks only are track-jumped and is reproduced, and normal images are obtained. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that groove formation and addresses are determined without considering contiguous reproduction across a plurality of recording layers, and consequently loss of performance and an increase in a cost of an apparatus for reproducing such information recording medium are incurred. SOLUTION: An optical disk has a first recording layer and a second recording layers placed one over the other in such a manner that information recorded in each layer is optically readable from one side of the disk. Tracks are formed on the first and second recording layers with a plurality of sectors provided along the tracks. The tracks on the first and second layers are in a spiral pattern and arranged such that the spiral patterns on the first and second layers have opposite winding directions when viewed from the same side of the disk. The sector addresses provided to the first recording layer increasing from the most inside circumference to the most outside circumference, and the sector addresses provided to the second recording layer increase from the most outside circumference to the most inside circumference. The sector addresses on the first and second layers in approximately corresponding places in the radial direction of the disk are in complementary relationship. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compatibility with a conventional system for reproducing an ordinary video, in an optical disc having three-dimensional video and high-image-quality video signal recorded therein, and a system for reproducing them. SOLUTION: A first video signal and a second video signal are each divided into one GOP (group of picture) or more frame groups; and, for interleave blocks recorded alternately laterally on an optical disc 1, a three dimension/high image quality-respondent reproduction apparatus reproduces both the first and second interleave blocks, so that a three-dimensional or high-image-quality video is obtained, and a three dimension/high image quality-nonrespondent reproduction apparatus reproduces only the first or second interleave block by applying a track jump, so that an ordinary video is obtained. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disc having three-dimensional video and high resolution video signal recorded and a system for reproducing them, which are compatible with a conventional system for reproducing an ordinary resolution picture. SOLUTION: A first video signal and a second video signal are separated into 1 GOP or more frames, and the resultant interleave blocks are recorded alternately on an optical disc 1. A three-dimensional/high resolution reproduction apparatus reproduces both the first and the second interleave blocks, so that a three-dimensional or high resolution video is obtained.
