Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in home electrical appliances that excellent sterilization and deodorization effects cannot be achieved, while controlling deterioration of the members, at low cost only by using ozone. SOLUTION: For example in a washing machine, an object to be sterilized (laundry) 14 is placed in an inner tub 3, moisture, which is radical material, is supplied to the object to be sterilized (the laundry) 14 with a water spray device 16, the ozone, which is another radical material, is supplied with an ozone-amount regulating means 10, and then light is irradiated with an light-irradiation device which is a radical-conversion means. Thereby, the object to be sterilized (the laundry) 14 is supplied with optimum dose of the moisture and ozone, and radicals are generated on the object to be sterilized (the laundry) 14 efficiently by the light irradiation. SOLUTION: Since this refrigerator 100 includes an ozone generator 110 for supplying ozone to a vegetable compartment 103, and the ozone decomposition promoting means, the agricultural chemicals can be decomposed and eliminated by the ozone of the low concentration, and the agricultural chemicals attached to purchased vegetables can safely be eliminated during storage in the refrigerator. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that an amount of decomposing agricultural chemicals is not sufficient when a conventional ozone generater decomposes the agricultural chemicals. SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes a storage room, an ozone generator 210 for supplying ozone to the storage room, and an oxygen enrichment device 211 for supplying oxygen to the storage room. Ozone can be efficiently generated in an oxygen-enriched space thereby, and the agricultural chemicals can be efficiently decomposed. Accordingly, harmful substances such as agricultural chemicals adhering to surfaces of vegetables and fruits conserved in the refrigerator can be decomposed by low-concentrated ozone to provide safer vegetables and fruits to consumers. SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes: an indoor temperature detecting means 22; an evaporator temperature detecting means 23; a dew-point temperature calculating means for calculating a dew-point temperature when relative humidity at the indoor temperature detected by the indoor temperature detecting means 23 is a predetermined value; a room temperature control mode for controlling operation frequency of a compressor 1 by a difference between the indoor temperature detected by the indoor temperature detecting means 22 and a remote controller setting temperature; and a humidity maintaining control mode for setting the operation frequency of the compressor 1 to be a predetermined value lower than that in the room temperature control mode. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner which has antimicrobial activity during both the operation of the device and the stop of the device, and is safe to the human body and inexpensive without deteriorating resins, and an air conditioner or a refrigerator using the air cleaner. SOLUTION: The air cleaner is provided with a filter member 2 with at least silver formed on its surface and a light source 3, which can apply light with a wavelength of more than 400 nm and not more than 520 nm, provided on the surface of the filter member 2. According to the above constitution, in a period in which no light is applied during the stop of the operation of the device, the antimicrobial activity possessed by silver can be exhibited. Meanwhile, in a period in which light is applied during the operation of the device, the antimicrobial activity of silver can be enhanced by the light. This can realize the development of a higher level of antimicrobial activity.
