Abstract:
A com m unications term inal registered as a controlled term inal in a controlling terminal which controls the controlled terminal via a communications network, the communications terminal includes a receiving unit (15020) which receives a sleep message including information indicating whether or not the controlling terminal is sleeping and information indicating a timing when the controlling terminal leaves sleep mode and wakes up; a detecting unit (15030) which detects a transmission of a registration request for requesting that a new terminal be registered in the controlling terminal as a new controlled term inal, the new terminal being another communications terminal not yet registered in the controlling term inal; and a notifying unit (15040) which determines whether or not the controlling term inal is sleeping based on the sleep message, and notifies the new terminal of the timing by sending the sleep message when the controlling terminal is sleeping and when the transmission of the registration request is detected.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of simplifying various settings in a display device such as a TV that provides information on an article (communication device).SOLUTION: The communication device comprises a RF-ID reader writer 46 for performing proximity wireless communication with an external RF-ID card 2100, a communication unit 2007 for performing communication with a server 42 at a speed faster than the proximity wireless, and a system control unit 2004 for controlling the RF-ID reader writer 46 and the communication unit 2007. The RF-ID reader writer 46 reads communication information for identifying the server 42 so as to connect from the RF-ID card 2100. The system control unit 2004 controls the identified server 42 and the communication unit 2007 so as to perform communication according to the communication information read from the RF-ID card 2100 by the RF-ID reader writer 46.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device which can simplify various setting operations in a display device such as a TV which provides information associated with an article (communication device).SOLUTION: An imaging device 1 has an RF-ID 47 which performs a proximity radio communication with an RF-ID reader/writer 46 connected to a TV 45 by an infrared communication path. The imaging device 1 includes: a proximity radio communication antenna 21; a data reception unit 105 which receives an input signal supplied from the reader/writer 46; a nonvolatile second memory 52 which stores a UID unit 75 as identification information for identifying at least the communication device and an operation program 116 executed by the TV 45 by referencing the UID unit 75; and a data transfer unit 108 which transmits the UID unit 75 and the operation program 116 to the reader/writer 46 via the antenna 21 in accordance with the input signal. The transmitted UID unit 75 and the operation program 116 are transferred to the TV 45 via the reader/writer 46.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method capable of transmitting data periodically under limitations on delay while ensuring a QoS. SOLUTION: Data frames PR1 to PR3 to be transmitted in response to data D1 to D3 have reservation information added to header portions Ph1 to Ph3. When the other PLC modem 100 receiving the data frame PR1 receives the header Ph1, it prohibits transmission only during a period Tv1 when the data frame PR1 and a reply frame Pa1 therefor are transmitted, and it also sets a reservation interval Rv1 for the next transmission which is obtained from the reservation information of the header Ph1 as a transmission prohibiting interval. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display system capable of displaying information suitable to the conditions of apparatus.SOLUTION: A terminal 10 includes: a condition data acquisition section 101 that acquires condition data of each condition item; a condition data transmission section 102 that transmits the condition data to a server 11; and a display control section 103 that controls to display the data based on the data to be displayed received from the server 11 and the condition unique to an application program in execution. The server 11 includes: a coupling table holding section 111 that holds object information including candidate objects to be displayed and a piece of information on the condition item required for the display object while coupling the above pieces of information; a display object extraction section 112 that extracts a display object appropriate to the condition of the terminal 10 referring to the coupling table holding section 111 based on the condition data received from the terminal 10; and a display data transmission section 113 that transmits a data to be displayed based on the extracted display object to the terminal 10.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general method for detecting a network topology and particularly detect a gateway when estimating a network configuration of an actual network topology of communication devices.SOLUTION: A method covers the detection of a physical connection point of a gateway of other network devices such as a switch, a router, or a CE device and mapping of a physical network path to each communication device in a network. The detection and mapping methods are provided by two specific entities referred to as a discoverer and a transponder, as well as through a method including search of communication devices in the network, training, and query. The entities play a role in detecting network communication devices and defining an actual physical topology including the connection point corresponding to the gateway in the network.
