Abstract:
Extended information capable of defining a reproduction order of still images is provided in the program control information defining a reproduction order of moving pictures recorded on an information recording medium, thereby realizing a program containing a moving picture and a still image. It is possible to realize recording of a program consisting of only still images and a user-defined program containing still images mixed in which the reproduction order is defined by a user. When a still image is recorded, a section marker is arranged in the program control information for describing a still image display period and a still image file name. When a still image is recorded, a still image identical to a still picture is MPEG-encoded and recorded in the same way as moving picture data, and a section marker is arranged in the program control information for describing a still image display period and a still image file name.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device which can efficiently use a user data area in the pseudo overwriting recording of a write-once type optical disk. SOLUTION: The drive device (310) includes a recording/reproduction unit (314) and a drive control unit (311). The drive control unit (311) at least allocates a continuous area at a particular position in the user data area other than the position specified by a recording instruction, controls the recording/reproduction unit so as to record data in the allocated continuous area, and generates new disk management information including first alternation management information for mapping the starting position of the continuous area specified by the recording instruction at the starting position of the allocated continuous area and second alternation management information for mapping the end position of the continuous area specified by the recording instruction at the end position of the allocated continuous area. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device capable of using a user data area without any waste in pseudo-overwrite recording of a write-once optical disk. SOLUTION: The drive control section 311 of the drive device 310 performs a process including: determining whether or not replacement management information containing a replacement source physical address matching a physical address corresponding to a logical address included in a recording instruction is found in a replacement management information list (S301); if no replacement management information is found, performing processing understanding that recording is first pseudo-overwrite recording for a position indicated by the physical address corresponding to the logical address included in the recording instruction (S302 and S303); and if replacement management information is found, performing processing understanding that recording is second pseudo-overwrite recording and after for the position indicated by the physical address corresponding to the logical address included in the recording instruction (S304 and S305). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a speed in index display of thumb-nail. SOLUTION: A recording medium 315 is provided in which a plurality of image files 311b, 311c having image information 311c and attached information 311b for the image information 311c are recorded, the plurality of image files 311b, 311c are recorded in a first region 310, an entire or partial copy 311a of attached information corresponding respectively to a plurality of image files 311b, 311c is recorded in a second region 309 different from the first region 310. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device capable of using a user data area without an waste during pseudo overwrite recording of a recordable optical disk. SOLUTION: The drive control unit of the drive device performs a process including: determining a first track among a plurality of tracks based on a physical address and track management information corresponding to a logical address contained in a recording instruction (S1103); determining whether the first track is a closed track (S1104); when the first track is determined to be a closed track, determining a second track which is an open track different from the first track, determining a physical address indicating a next data recordable position in the second track as a next recordable address, and performing pseudo overwrite recording of data by using the next recordable address as an alternative destination. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device capable of using a user data area without any waste in pseudo-overwrite recording of a write-once optical disk. SOLUTION: In the drive device 310, a drive control section 311 performs a process including: receiving a recording instruction designating at least data to be recorded (S701); storing the data to be recorded in a memory circuit 312, and defining data from a head position of the data stored in the memory circuit 312 to a position corresponding to a next recordable position as a first data portion (S704); defining data from the position corresponding to the next recordable position to a tail end position of the data stored in the memory circuit 312 as a second data portion (S704); and controlling the recording/reproducing section 314 to record the second data portion before the first data portion is recorded (S705). SOLUTION: The drive control section 311 of the drive device 310 performs a process including at least: performing RMW processing for a replacement source ECC cluster containing a position designated by a recording instruction; determining in RMW processing whether or not there is a physical sector where data reproduction has failed in the replacement source ECC cluster; and if it is determined in RMW processing that there is a physical sector where data reproduction has failed in the replacement source ECC cluster, setting a state information value indicating the presence of the physical sector where the data reproduction has failed in the replacement source ECC cluster in state information of replacement management information indicating replacement of the replacement source ECC cluster by a replacement destination ECC cluster. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device capable of using a user data area without any waste during pseudo overwrite recording of a recordable optical disk. SOLUTION: The drive control part of the drive device performs a process including: comparing a physical address corresponding to a logical address contained in a recording instruction with a next recordable address; when the physical address corresponding to the logical address contained in the recording instruction is smaller than the next recordable address, controlling a recording/reproducing part so as to record data in a specific position other than a position indicated by the physical address corresponding to the logical address contained in the recording instruction, which is a specific position in a user data area; when the physical address corresponding to the logical address contained in the recording instruction is equal to the next recordable address, controlling the recording/reproducing part so as to record data in a position indicated by the physical address corresponding to the logical address contained in the recording instruction.
