Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable size sensing system capable of adjusting and redefining the size of a sensing area. SOLUTION: A variable size sensing system includes: a first element; a second element; a third element; a fourth element; two image sensing devices; and a mark. The first element, the second element, the third element, and the fourth element are consecutively connected and thereby forming a frame. An inner edge of the frame defines a sensing area of a parallelogram shape. The size of the frame is changed by changing the length of the first element and the third element along a predetermined direction. A reflection material is formed on the surface of the second element, the third element, and the fourth element facing the sensing area. The two image sensing devices are installed at both ends of the first element, so that the two image sensing devices are always positioned in two corners of the sensing area and sense the whole area of the sensing area. SOLUTION: The image-sensor system 200 includes a panel 210 having a plane 212 and a region 214 located on the plane, and an image-sensor module 220 comprising an image-sensor chip which is disposed near the region on the plane and has a first image-sensor area and a second image-sensor area whose detecting ranges cover the range; and a processing unit which is electrically connected to the first image-sensor area and the second image-sensor area. When a pointer 270 such as a hand approaches the region, or the pointer is put in the detecting range of the first image-sensor area and the second image-sensor area, the first image-sensor area and the second image-sensor area detect the presence of the pointer and the processing unit determines the location of the pointer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing system capable of attaining low production cost. SOLUTION: The sensing system senses a pointer and is used to calculate a position of the pointer. The sensing system includes a panel, a reflection element, an image sensor, and a processor. The panel has a first plane and a quadrangular first area located at the first plane and having a first side, a second side, a third side and a fourth side connected in order. The reflection element is disposed on the first side and positioned on the first plane. A second plane of the reflection element is a reflecting surface and forms a second area orthogonal to the first plane of the panel, reflecting on the first area. The image sensor is disposed at a corner at which the third side and the fourth side cross and is positioned on the first plane. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller and a control method for image display. SOLUTION: The controller for image display includes two or more reference points, a modulation part, and a remote controller. The modulation part modulates light of a predetermined spectrum generated by the reference points in a luminance change cycle. The modulation part controls the reference points to emit light of a first luminance within a first period of the luminance change cycle and to emit light of a second luminance within a second period of the luminance change cycle. The first luminance and the second luminance are not a zero gray level. The remote controller captures the light of a predetermined spectrum in a sampling cycle, and demodulates image changes of the reference points to the remote controller. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical touch device preventing formation of a blind zone where a location of a light shielding object cannot be detected or cannot be accurately detected, and to provide a method of detecting the location of the light shielding object. SOLUTION: The optical touch device includes a light guide module comprising of mirror light guide components; a light emitting module including a first light emitting lamp and a second light emitting lamp; and an image detecting module: The optical touch device is configured in such a way that the first light emitting lamp and the second light emitting lamp emit light to cross each other and the image detecting module obtains first piece of optical information and second piece of optical information. Namely, if the location of the light shielding object cannot be detected from one piece of optical information, the location of the light shielding object is detected using the other piece of optical information, thereby preventing a problem of formation of the blind zone.
