    Abstract: Provided is a video display device that includes a plurality of LEDs capable of independently dimming. The video display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, and a plurality of light source substrates configured to illuminate the liquid crystal display panel from a rear side of the liquid crystal display panel. Each of the plurality of light source substrates includes a signal input connector that receives a control signal, a plurality of light emitting diodes each of which is provided in correspondence with a corresponding one of areas different from each other in the liquid crystal display panel, a driver element that drives each of the plurality of light emitting diodes in accordance with the control signal such that each of the plurality of light emitting diodes emits light with luminance corresponding to brightness of the corresponding area of an image, and a signal output connector that through-outputs the control signal. The signal output connector of a first light source substrate included in the plurality of light source substrates, and the signal input connector of a second light source substrate included in the plurality of light source substrates are electrically connected.

    Abstract: Provided is a video display device which includes a plurality of light emitting elements capable of independently dimming. The video display device includes: a display panel that displays an image based on an image signal; a light source substrate disposed on a rear side of the display panel; a plurality of light emitting elements each of which is attached to a surface of the light source substrate on a side toward the display panel to emit light to the display panel; a reflection sheet; and driver elements that drive each of the plurality of light emitting elements. Partitioning wall portions are formed in the reflection sheet, each of partitioning wall portions separates adjacent ones of the light emitting elements, and expands toward the display panel. The reflection sheet covers the surface of the light source substrate on the side toward the display panel except for portions provided with the light emitting elements. Each of the driver elements is attached to the surface of the light source substrate on the side toward the display panel in a portion surrounded by the corresponding partitioning wall portions.

    Abstract: The purpose of the present disclosure is to reduce unevenness in luminance of a backlight in a display device. The display device includes a display panel that displays an image, a plurality of light-emitting sources, a back plate to which the light-emitting sources are mounted, and a reflection sheet. The plurality of light-emitting sources radiates light toward the display panel from a back surface side of the display panel, and is arranged in a matrix along the display panel. The reflection sheet is attached to the back plate, provided with insertion holes into which the light-emitting sources are inserted, and reflects light radiated from the light-emitting sources. The back plate has a plurality of protrusions that causes portions of the reflection sheet to bulge out toward the display panel with the reflection sheet being attached to the back plate.
