    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide a mechanism for a user equipment (UE) to identify an uplink transmit beam to be used for communicating with a base station. In some cases, the uplink transmit beam may be based on a recent uplink (or downlink) transmission or set of allocated resources. A base station may allocate communication resources for a UE. The UE may determine, based on the allocated communication resources, a default transmit beam for communicating with the base station. The UE and base station may (e.g., independently) identify a triggering condition for using the default transmit beam. The UE may transmit an uplink communication to the base station using the default transmit beam based on the triggering condition.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may receive downlink control information corresponding to a transmission of a transport block over a plurality of transmission time intervals (TTIs). The wireless device may identify a redundancy version sequence for the transport block. The redundancy version may be a pre-defined sequence or may be configured by higher layer signaling based on sequence criterion. The wireless device may transmit or receive a plurality of redundancy versions of the transport block in the plurality of TTIs based at least in part on the redundancy version sequence. In some examples, the plurality of redundancy versions may be determined based at least in part on a starting redundancy version identified by another wireless device.

    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for providing improved power efficiency during DRX wake-up are disclosed. An example method of wireless communication at a UE includes receiving a WUS from a base station while performing a DRX cycle, the WUS indicating data for transmission to the UE. The example method also includes at least one receiving a downlink reference signal or transmitting an uplink reference signal based on the WUS and prior to reception of the data, the uplink reference signal transmitted or the downlink reference signal received during an on-duration of the DRX cycle and in response to receiving the WUS. The example method also includes sending a CSI report to the base station based on the WUS and prior to the receiving of the data.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wake-up resource randomization for discontinuous reception operation. An example method generally includes obtaining configuration information for receiving at least one wake up signal (WUS) during an OFF duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode of the UE; monitoring, during a WUS monitoring occasion occurring during the OFF duration of the DRX mode, the one or more resources for the at least one WUS based on the configuration information; and transitioning to an ON state of the DRX mode when the at least one WUS is detected in the one or more resources during the monitoring; or remaining in an OFF state of the DRX mode when the at least one WUS is not detected in the one or more resources during the monitoring.
