Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration that indicates a maximum number of SRS ports and whether the UE is permitted to determine an actual number of SRS ports to be used for SRS transmission that is different from the maximum number of SRS ports. The UE may determine the actual number of SRS ports to be used for SRS transmission based at least in part on the SRS configuration. The UE may transmit one or more SRSs using the actual number of SRS ports. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a signaling communication that includes information specifying whether a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) precoding resource block group includes a same quantity of resource blocks (RBs) that is included in a CSI reporting subband configured for the UE. The CSI-RS precoding resource block group may enable the UE to perform a channel estimation based at least in part on a CSI-RS transmitted by a base station. The UE may perform the channel estimation based at least in part on the CSI-RS transmitted by the base station. The channel estimation may be based at least in part on whether the CSI-RS precoding resource block group includes the same quantity of RBs that is included in the CSI reporting subband configured for the UE. One example method for wireless communication generally includes determining whether to perform channel measurement and reporting operations for a user-equipment (UE) using a reciprocity-based scheme or a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) based scheme based on a criteria of a cell, and performing the channel measurement and reporting operations based on the determination.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe receiving, from an access point, an indication of at least one of a beamforming method for beamforming a RS or a normalization method for normalizing power for beamforming the RS. A channel covariance matrix corresponding to interference over a plurality of antenna ports can be generated, as well as a RS beamforming matrix based at least in part on modifying the channel covariance matrix and on the normalization method. The RS can be generated based on the RS beamforming matrix and the beamforming method. The RS can be transmitted to the access point based on the RS beamforming matrix.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a configuration to train a neural network for multiple different signal to noise ratios (SNRs) of a channel estimate for a wireless communication channel. The method also includes determining a current SNR of the channel estimate is above a first threshold value. The method further includes training the neural network based on the channel estimate, to obtain a first trained neural network. The method still further includes perturbing the channel estimate to obtain a perturbed channel estimate, and training the neural network based on the perturbed channel estimate, to obtain a second trained neural network. The method includes reporting, to the base station, parameters of the first trained neural network along with the channel estimate, and parameters of the second trained neural network.
