Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for updating one or more traffic flows associated with a user equipment (UE) using a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle time message. A base station receives a message from a user equipment (UE) requesting a DRX cycle time. The base station generates DRX updating information based on the DRX cycle time. The base station transmits the DRX updating information to a core network node for updating one or more traffic flows associated with the UE. The base station receives a packet delay budget (PDB) message from the core network node for the one or more traffic flows associated with the UE based on the DRX updating information. The base station transmits the PDB message to the UE for updating the one or more traffic flows.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from an application, a request to establish a data connection with a wireless network. The UE may identify that a route selection policy for the wireless network includes a set of route selection options corresponding to the data connection requested by the application. In some cases, each of the plurality of route selection options may include a priority for use of the route selection option with respect to others of the plurality of route selection options. The UE may determine that one or more of the set of route selection options includes an indicator that the priority is flexible. The indicator may be included within a field of the set of route selection options. The UE may establish the data connection via an application-specified route selection option based on the priority being flexible.

Abstract: In general, aspects disclosed herein provide techniques for processing video data. Certain aspects provide a method for processing video data comprising a plurality of frames for display on a display as discussed herein. The method includes determining a sampling rate (N) based on a frame rate used for displaying the video data on the display. The sampling rate N is greater than 1. The method further includes, for every N frames of the plurality of frames, processing one or more statistics associated with a frame to determine one or more display settings. The method further includes outputting to the display the corresponding N frames of the plurality of frames using the one or more display settings.

Abstract: An example operation of this disclosure monitors, measures, and/or determines a decay level of a light-pass region of a display and apply compensation to the light-pass region to compensate for the decay. The light-pass region of a display allows ambient light to be transmitted through the display in one direction while the display emits light in the opposite direction. For example, the light-pass region may have reduced or removed reflective layers that enables more light to pass through, or may have pixels of a different density, shape, or size than the rest of the pixels for enabling light passing through. Such structural differences often cause the light-pass region to deteriorate at a higher rate than normal pixels in the display, and darken the light-pass region over time. To address such problems, the present disclosure provides techniques to accurately brighten or otherwise restore the visual appearances of the darkened pixels.

In response to the determination and receiving the indication: bypassing a loading of the frame rotation animation into a first portion of the display processor pipeline, and loading the frame rotation animation into a second portion of the display processor pipeline if the video playback is in an HDR format.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for reducing a DPU transfer time to compensate for a delayed GPU render time. After completion of rendering a second frame that follows a first frame, a frame processor determines whether the first frame is currently transferring to a display panel or has already been transferred to the display panel. At least one clock is used with a first set of clock speeds when the first frame is determined to be currently transferring and used with a second set of clock speeds when the first frame is determined to have already been transferred, the second set of clock speeds being faster than the first set of clock speeds. After completion of the transfer of the first frame, the second frame is transferred based on the set of clock speeds.
