Abstract: Embodiments of a submersible transport and launch canister (10) are provided for use by a diver in the deployment of an airborne object (12). In one embodiment, the submersible transport and launch canister (10) includes a pressure vessel (14) having an open end portion (16) and a storage cavity (20) configured to receive the airborne object (12) therein. A diver-actuated cap (22) is movable between an open position and a closed position in which the diver-actuated cap (22) sealingly engages the open end portion (16). A propellant device (66) is fluidly coupled to the storage cavity (20) and is configured to propel the airborne object (12) from the storage cavity (20) and through the open end portion (16) when the propellant device (66) is actuated by the diver.
