PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve visibility of a mark part to show an ink cartridge to be exchanged.SOLUTION: A mark part 37 to indicate an ink cartridge that should be exchanged is provided for a frame member 36 that supports discharge driven roller 35 that composes the discharging means that discharges the paper. The mark part 37 is located at the front side of the apparatus from a carriage 28, and a display surface is along the vertical direction, and the discharge port 5 can be visually checked in front view. Therefore, the user can visually check a mark part 37 easily by front view of a discharge port 5 without being intercepted the line of sight by a scanner unit 3 irrespective of opening and closing state of the scanner unit 3.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that complements the rigidity of a base with a configuration of other members and in which the base holds an information input part.SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a recording part which executes recording on a medium; a feeding part which feeds the medium to the recording part; a discharge part on which the medium where the recording has been executed is discharged; the base which holds the recording part, the feeding part, and the discharge part; an exterior member which covers at least part of the base; and the information input part which instructs to execute the recording. The base has a holding part in which the information input part is bridged to be hold. The holding part turnably holds the information input part on the base. The holding part includes a controlling device for preventing the information input part from moving toward a direction parallel to an axial direction of a rotary shaft of the information input part.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such a problem that a portion of a feeding opening cover (a paper support being shrunk) is higher than surroundings to form a level difference in the state that the paper support functions as the feeding opening cover in no use. SOLUTION: A recorded material support 7 which is turnably provided on the frame of a recoding device includes a base end side support 31, a free end side support 29, and an intermediate existing member 33 existing between the base end side support and the free end side support. The intermediate existing member engages with the reverse face of the base end side support slidably in the elongating and shrinking direction. The free end side support engages with the reverse face of the intermediate existing member slidably in the elongating and shrinking direction. The face of the free end side support, opposite to the face engaging with the intermediate existing member, forms the exterior face of the recording device in the closing state of closing a feeding opening 9. SOLUTION: The fluid jet apparatus which jets a fluid is equipped with a fluid ejecting part which ejects the fluid to a jetting object, a body casing 20 which houses the fluid ejecting part, the fluid containing pack which stores a fluid for jetting, and a container case which is pivoted on a rotary shaft 350 and pivoted to the body casing 20 to be able to open and close and holds the fluid containing pack. Because contact to the interior of the body casing 20 covered with the container case is given by opening and closing the container case, the degree of freedom of position where the fluid containing pack is placed can be improved. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more improve workability of various kinds of work to be performed while opening a scanner unit, in a configuration where the scanner unit is provided in an upper part of a device body and further, an operation panel is disposed at a front side of a device.SOLUTION: In an ink jet printer 1, a scanner unit 3 is provided to be opened/closed in an upper part of a recording section 2 which performs recording on paper sheets. While the scanner unit 3 is closed, a panel unit 8 including an operation panel 9 constitutes the front of a device and a lower edge 8b of the panel unit forms a paper eject port 8. Since the panel unit 8 is provided in the scanner unit 3, when the scanner unit 3 is opened, a state where an upper part from the paper eject port 5 to the depth of the device is fully opened is provided.

In the base frame 38, a right vertical wall part 38a and a left vertical wall part 38b standing along the vertical direction, while extending to the apparatus back and forth direction are formed, and the upper ends of these vertical wall parts and the rear surfaces of the right housing member 40 and the left housing member 42 are in close contact with each other and are composed to cause the frictional force.
