PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thermoplastic polyester-based resin foam sheet excellent in terms of deep draw moldability.SOLUTION: The provided method for manufacturing a thermoplastic polyester-based resin foam sheet includes a foaming step of obtaining a thermoplastic polyester-based resin foam sheet by melting a thermoplastic polyester-based resin whose number-average molecular weight and specific viscosity are confined respectively to specified ranges and by mixing the molten thermoplastic polyester-based resin with a cross-linking agent and a foaming agent, whereas the measurement value of the Z average molecular weight of the thermoplastic polyester-based resin forming the thermoplastic polyester-based resin foam sheet is 250,000-800,000.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a polyglycolic acid resin foam sheet capable of producing the polyglycolic acid resin foam sheet with good foamed state, and the polyglycolic acid resin foam sheet with good foamed state.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a polyglycolic acid resin foam sheet includes production of the polyglycolic acid resin foam sheet by carrying out extrusion foaming of a resin composition containing a polyglycolic acid resin and a chain extender having an epoxy group and having epoxy equivalent of 100 g/eq or more and 500 g/eq or less. The resin composition contains 0.05 pt.mass or more and 1 pt.mass or less of the chain extender based on 100 pts.mass of the polyglycolic acid resin.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified polypropylene-based expansion molding body that can improve faults in both an expansion molding body of a polystyrene-based resin and an expansion molding body of a polypropylene-based resin, and is excellent in mechanical characteristics, heat resistance, and chemical resistance or the like, to provide a preliminary foamed particle of the modified polypropylene-based resin of a high magnification that is excellent in moldability, in which the fusion between foamed particles can be achieved by the steam of a low temperature, and that can give the same, and to provide a modified polypropylene-based resin particle that can give the same.SOLUTION: The modified polypropylene-based resin particle comprises modifying 100 pts.wt. of a polypropylene-based resin by a polymerization resin that originates in 40-100 pts.wt. of an aromatic vinyl monomer including 0.1-1 wt.% of a polyfunctional monomer, and is characterized in that the gel fraction shows 10-40 wt.% originating in the crosslinking of the polymerization resin that originates in the aromatic vinyl monomer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preliminary foamed particle of a modified polypropylene-based resin of an high expansion ratio excellent in mechanical characteristics, heat resistance, chemical resistance, and moldability or the like, and to provide a method of manufacturing an expansion molding body.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a preliminary foamed particle of modified polypropylene-based resin is characterized as follows. 100 pts.wt. of a polypropylene-based resin is modified by using a polymerization resin that originates in 40-100 pts.wt. of an aromatic vinyl monomer that contains 0.1-1 wt.% of a polyfunctional monomer to obtain a modified polypropylene-based resin particle, 20-50 pts.wt. of a foaming agent is used based on 100 pts.wt. of the modified polypropylene-based resin particle to be performed with an impregnation process to obtain a foaming modified polypropylene-based resin particle, the obtained foaming modified polypropylene-based resin particle is heated by a heated water vapor having 0.1-0.2 MPa of pressure for 5-60 seconds to be preliminarily formed to obtain a preliminary foamed particle of the modified polypropylene-based resin in which the bulk density is 0.01-0.07 g/cm.
