A carbon-containing modified polystyrene type resin particle of the present invention includes: a carbon-containing polypropylene type resin, and a polystyrene type resin in an amount of not less than 100 parts by weight but less than 400 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the carbon-containing polypropylene type resin, wherein the polystyrene type resin ratio at the central part of the particle is at least 1.2 times the polystyrene type resin ratio of the overall particle, the polystyrene type resin ratio being calculated by using the ratio (D698/D1376) of absorbances at 698 cm -1 and 1376 cm -1 which are obtained by infrared absorption spectra measured by ATR infrared spectroscopic analysis.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently reducing odor from a composite resin particle containing a polyolefin based resin and a polystyrene based resin.SOLUTION: The composite resin particle for manufacturing a foam molded product containing polyolefin-based resin and polystyrene-based resin is fluidized by a gas of (T-40)°C to (T-10)°C (T is softening temperature of composite resin particle) which is blown from the lower part of a container in the container, to reduce the odor of the composite resin particle to an odor level value of ≤200 in a 55°C measuring atmosphere, in a method for reducing the odor in the composite resin particles.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polypropylene-based resin particles for seed polymerization, which can give a foamed molding having a high multiple, having black color, excellent in appearance, and having high slow retardancy.SOLUTION: The polypropylene-based resin particles for seed polymerization is characterized by including 2-10 pts.mass of carbon black in 100 pts.mass of resin particles containing the polypropylene-based resin as a resin component, and having a carbon black dispersion structure having an average area of 1.0×10to 9.9×10nmin a transmission electron microscope photograph obtained by photographing a 10 μm×10 μm portion of the resin particle surface at a magnification of 2000.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing pre-foamed particles, which reduces foaming during pre-foaming, pre-foamed particles having excellent antistatic property and a foamed molded product.SOLUTION: The method for producing pre-foamed particles includes a step for impregnating thermoplastic resin particles having a Vicat softening point of 85-100°C with a volatile blowing agent and a first antistatic agent to give foamable thermoplastic resin particles, impregnating the obtained foamable thermoplastic resin particles with a second antistatic agent in the presence of an antifoaming agent and then pre-foaming the impregnated material to give pre-foamed particles. The pre-foaming is carried out by repeating a heating step for heating the inside of a pre-foaming tank and a cooling step for cooling the inside of the pre-foaming tank in this order.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide expandable composite resin particles comprising a polyolefin resin and a polystyrene resin and containing pentane, wherein, even if the expandable composite resin particles are pre-expanded without being thawed after frozen-stored, the pre-expanded particle becomes not in a state having a core, or has a low mixing ratio of the pre-expanded particle in a state having a core. SOLUTION: The dry manufacturing method for the expandable composite resin particles comprises an impregnation step of adding pentane as an expanding agent to a composite resin article comprising a polyolefin resin and a polystyrene resin at a temperature within the range of (T+10)°C to (T+40)°C, T(°C) being the boiling point of pentane, in a closed system without using an aqueous medium to impregnate the resin particle with 7.5-11.0 wt.% of pentane, and a freezing step of freezing the pentane-impregnated composite resin particles taken out.
