Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the fusion boding between heat-sensitive transfer recording material and a thermal head from occurring in sublimation type heat-sensitive transfer recording and the sticking, development of abnormal noise and twisting of the heat-sensitive transfer recording material from occurring by a method wherein heat-resistant lubricant layer excellent in heat resistance and lubricity is formed without adding phosphate esters, which are easily separable from resin, in the heat-resistant lubricant layer of the heat-sensitive transfer recording material. CONSTITUTION:In the heat-sensitive transfer recording material concerned having base sheet, ink layer and heat-resistant lubricant layer, the heat-resistant lubricant layer is made of polymer compound, which is obtained by reacting hydrocarbon compound having two or more hydroxyl group in one molecule and/or silicone compound having hydroxyl group with isocyanate compound having two or more isocyanate group in one molecule. Or the heat-resistant lubricant layer is made of polymer compound, which is obtained by reacting silicone compound having amino group with isocyanate compound having two or more isocyanate group in one molecule.

CONSTITUTION:A thermosensitive recording material consists of a support, a thermosensitive recording layer containing a coloring agent and a developer, and an overcoat layer laminated sequentially on a support. The overcoat layer is formed using a polymer which contains segmented silicone compound, preferably polyurethane. Further preferably, the overcoat layer contains segmented hydrocarbon, polyester or polyether as the polymer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a urethane-modified polysaccharide which has new properties, functions, and applications. CONSTITUTION:A urethane-modified polysaccharide is produced by reacting a polysaccharide or its deriv. with an isocyanate compd. in a polar aprotic solvent in the presence of a catalyst at 50-200 deg.C, pref. 60-150 deg.C, for 1-30hr, pref. 2-20hr, to thereby react at least part of the hydroxyl groups of the polysaccharide or its deriv. with the isocyanate compd. The solvent must carefully be selected, and dimethylformamide, hexamethylphosphoric triamide, and N- methylpyrrolidone are usable. Pref. catalysts are dibytyltin dilaurate and a mixture thereof with triethylenediamine. The reaction temp. and time are determined by the types of solvent and catalyst.
