Abstract:
An optical recording/reproducing apparatus having drive means for rotating a recording medium, an optical head for applying light to the recording medium being rotated by the drive means, thereby to record data signals on the recording medium or reproducing data from the recording medium, and a signal-processing circuit for processing a signal detected by the optical head. The optical head comprises a light source for emitting light, an objective lens, and signal detecting means. The objective lens has a numerical aperture NA, where 0.5
Abstract:
AFTER THE INITIATION OF WRITING AN OUTPUT SIGNAL FROM AN LPF IS SAMPLED IN CORRESPONDENCE WITH A PORTION WITH A PREDETERMINED PULSE WIDTH OF RECORDING DATA, SO AS TO OBTAIN A PIT LEVEL. IN THE RESULTANT SIGNAL, ITS VARYING PORTIONS WHICH CORRESPOND TO THE MULTI-PULSE TRAINS OF THE WRITE SIGNAL ARE SMOOTHED. A CONTROLLER MODIFIES A LEVEL OF A TARGET LEVEL SIGNAL TO BE SUPPLIED TO AN APC CIRCUIT IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE PIT LEVEL BECOMES AN OPTIMUM PIT LEVEL WHICH HAS BEEN OBTAINED PRIOR TO THE INITIATION OF WRITING.
Abstract:
A laser light beam is illuminated via an objective lens on the signal surface of an optical disc and the objective lens is displaced by a servo processor along the optical axis for focussing search to generate focussing error signals by a RF block from a detected output of the laser light by the signal surface of the optical disc. Based on these focussing error signals, a system controller discriminates the types of the optical disc having different numbers of signal recording layers for setting an operating mode in keeping with the types of the optical disc.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select and connect a specified electronic device from a plurality of electronic devices with high priority. SOLUTION: When another electronic device is connected to an electronic device 1 for the first time, connection processing to the electronic device within a specified range is started and device information is acquired from the connected electronic device. Subsequently, a user pushes a preset button 41 for a specified time or more, so that the device information is linked to the preset button 41 to be stored into an EEPROM 22. When the electronic device is reconnected, the preset button 41 that the electronic device to be connected is registered is pushed and then the electronic device is selected. As a result, the device information linked to the preset button 41 is read from the EEPROM 22, and based on the device information, a device name of the electronic device is displayed on a display part 24. Then, connection processing is started, and a display that indicates connecting is displayed on the display part 24. When connection completes successfully, a display that indicates connection completion is displayed on the display part 24. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily find a destination location on a map without compelling a troublesome handling. SOLUTION: A main map image 21 showing the present position is displayed substantially at the center of a screen and map images positioning around the main map image 21 are arranged in the same direction around the main map image 21 as thumbnails 22 to 29. By this, the status around the main map image 21 showing the present position can be widely provided to users via the thumbnails 22 to 29 in the same direction around the main map image 21 and so it enables users to easily find the destination location on the map without compelling troublesome handling. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of lack of an idle capacity and to easily determine content data to be deleted, in a recorder for recording content data. SOLUTION: A content data management device has a setting information storage part 2001 for storing various setting information, a content data storage part 2002 for storing content data, a content data management information storage part 2003 for storing management information of content data, a setting information management means 1002 for managing setting information, a content data capacity acquisition means 1003 for acquiring a capacity of content data to be newly stored in the recorder, an idle capacity acquisition means 1004 for acquiring an idle capacity of the recorder. Further, the content data management device is provided with a deletion candidate determination means 1006 for determining deletion candidates on the basis of one of the numbers of times of reproduction, acquisition dates, and reproduction times in one reproduction in the case that a difference between these capacities is equal to or smaller than a certain value, and a content data deletion means 1005 for deleting content data determined as the deletion candidates. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components of an optical link device and to improve assembling workability. SOLUTION: The optical link device is provided with: a circuit board 11 in which a lead frame 10 is disposed on a frame loading surface 9a of a substrate 9; a first condensing lens part 17 for condensing light from a light emitting element 12 on an optical fiber 26 of one side with its optical axis set parallel with the frame loading surface of the substrate; a second condensing lens part 18 for condensing light transmitted through the optical fiber 26 of the other side on a light receiving element 13 with its optical axis set parallel with the frame loading surface of the substrate; and a light path changing part 20 for the light receiving element for changing the light path from the second condensing lens part to the light receiving element. The first and second condensing lens parts and the light path changing part for the light receiving element are integrally formed as part of an integrally molded member 15, and the light emitting element and the light receiving element are loaded on the lead frame. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electric power consumption in an on-vehicle electronic device when a key is only in an accessory state, and eliminate possibility of failure of the on-vehicle electronic device during operation by a sudden cut-off of power-supply voltage due to an engine stoppage. SOLUTION: The unit is provided with a vibration detecting means 7, an engine noise detecting means 8, a power supply control circuit 14 which controls power supply to an on-vehicle electronic device body 2 and a hard disc driver 3 from a battery power 1. The power supply control circuit 14 starts supplying the power-supply voltage to the on-vehicle electronic device when confirming the operation of the engine by receiving a vibration detection signal and/or a noise detection signal after the key position is in the accessory state. The unit continues to supply the power-supply voltage to the on-vehicle electronic device until the state that does not receive a write/read operation signal when receiving a write/read signal from the main body 2 of the on-vehicle electronic device even if the engine stops.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To spare effectively energy of an engine for driving a vehicle so as not to consume the energy by electric power load when the energy of the engine is spared effectively for driving the vehicle at the time of accelerating or driving uphill, etc. SOLUTION: A power supply control unit 3 is placed between a power supply unit 1 consisting of a dynamo 4 and a battery 6, and electrical equipment 2 such as car navigation equipment. The power supply control unit 3 consists of a condenser 11, a charge control part 12, a switching means 13 and a control unit 14. The charge control part 12 charges the condenser 11 by an output voltage from power supply unit. The switching means 13 switches the power supplying condition to the electrical equipment 2 between the power supplying condition from the condenser 11 and the power supplying condition from the power supply unit 1. The control unit 14 controls the charge control part 12 and the switching means 13 according to the detection signal about a loaded condition of the engine and a residual charge amount of the condenser.
