    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension, for the support of a recording bead of a disk drive, by which a jump can be suppressed when suffers a shock of various frequencies and which obtains a high shock resistance. SOLUTION: A suspension 10A is provided with a mount part 20A, a spring part 30A, a load beam part 40A and a gimbal 50A. Then, viscoelastic bodies 60A and restraint plates 70A are fitted to the spring part 30A. By the viscoelastic bodies 60A, vibration energy which acts on the spring part 30A is converted into thermal energy due to a shear deformation, and the bending mode of the spring part 30A is attenuated. In addition, the restraint plates 70A shear-deform the viscoelastic bodies 60A more. By this constitution, the bending mode of the spring part 30A due to a shock is attenuated, the resonance of the spring part 30A is suppressed, the spring part 30A itself is hard to deform at high speed, and the whole shock resistance of the suspension 10A is enhanced.

By this dynamic pressure of the lubricant fluid, a thrust load can be supported.

When the opening/closing pin 224 is unable to return to the normal standby position by some cause, for instance, the front surface of the door 20 and a projected line part 206 are in contact each other, and the disk cartridge 1 becomes unable to be inserted furthermore. Consequently, the accident such as the damage generated by colliding with the head, lamp, etc., is avoided, even though the disk cartridge 1 is inserted in the state when the door 20 is not opened.

Consequently, even when the disk cartridge 1 is inserted under the unopened state of the door 20, an accident of damaging a head and a lamp, etc., due to collision can thus be avoided.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shutter opening/closing mechanism mounted on the front surface of a cartridge turnably in the vertical direction by providing the mechanism with a sliding plate moving along a guide groove, a shutter opening and closing pin and a return spring. SOLUTION: The sliding plate 12 is mounted to the mechanism via a supplying shaft 14 so as to move along a guide groove hole 13 formed at a side plate 11. The shutter opening/closing mechanism 15a projecting to the inner side of the side plate 11 through the grooves hole 13 is erected at the sliding plate 12. This pin 15 engages with the engaging recessed hole 106 of the shutter 104 when the cartridge 100 is inserted, by which the opening and closing action of the shutter 104 is executed. A return spring 16 consisting of a tension coil spring is stretched between the projecting piece 12a projected at the sliding plate 12 and a projecting piece 11a projected in front of the side plate 11. The sliding plate 12 is so deviated as to be reset always to the initial position, i.e., the foremost position by the return force of the spring 16.
