A program information display method comprising the steps of: receiving program scheduling information for a plurality of programs on a plurality of channels, wherein each of said programs has associated program elements, each program element being a part of a respective one of said programs, wherein said program scheduling information includes items for identifying said program elements; selecting an item for searching for a desired program or a desired program element; searching said program scheduling information to find at least one desired program and/or desired program element, based on said selected item; and displaying at least one found program and/or program element having said selected item.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optimal reception characteristics in accordance with the frequency in activation of an application, by utilizing a limited number of terminal stations having a reception function without waste.SOLUTION: A first terminal station 503A, a second terminal station 503B and a third terminal station 503C have a reception function and each receive first video data addressed and transmitted to the first terminal station 503A. A data composition unit 504 performs diversity composition of the first video data received at the first terminal station 503A, the second terminal station 503B and the third terminal station 503C, and transmits the result to a monitor 505. A first monitor 505A receives the first video data, applies decode processing to it and displays it on a screen.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device, a receiver, a communication method, and a communication system which enable more devices to stably receive data when a transmitter wirelessly transmits data.SOLUTION: A communication device comprises: a transmitter; a communication unit for receiving communication data which is transmitted from the transmitter by unicast to a transmission target receiver and received by the receiver; a data discrimination unit for discriminating data to be used for processing among the pieces of received communication data; and a processing unit for processing the data discriminated as data to be used for processing. For processing the discriminated data, the processing unit inhibits the communication unit from replying to any of the transmitter and the receiver.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to use a transmission rate in accordance with the transmission quality of a wireless transmission path. SOLUTION: In an AP having a wireless communication function capable of using a plurality of transmission rates, a medium utilization-factor calculation section 211 of a MAC circuit 111 calculates a utilization factor of a wireless transmission path through which wireless communication is performed using the wireless communication function, and supplies the calculated utilization factor to a transmission rate determination section 202. The transmission rate determination section 202 determines a transmission rate at least on the basis of the utilization factor supplied from the medium utilization-factor calculation section 211. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display image control processor capable of performing display processing of image data from a plurality of viewpoints in a flexible form. SOLUTION: In receiving and displaying moving image data from a plurality of viewpoints from a storage medium or server, manual processing for displaying a selected or combined image based on designation information such as a viewpoint position based on a controller or head tracker operated by a user and preset processing for displaying the moving image data according to a display program preset with respect to the moving image can be switched at optional timing. According to this configuration, it is possible to validate user setting only in a part interested by the user.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a reception characteristic of a terminal by compensating degradation in transmission quality independently of a mobile speed of the terminal. SOLUTION: In the case the terminal receives a transmission signal via a wireless transmission channel and demodulates data by applying various reception processing to the received signal, the terminal receives mobile speed information from a speed detection means detecting a mobile speed of the terminal itself to control the reception processing with respect to the received signal in response to mobile speed information so that the terminal can execute the reception processing optimum to the wireless transmission channel of which state changes with the mobile speed of the terminal itself.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image processing system to easily and precisely recognize a specific position of a still body and an arbitrary position distance from the specific position in the best focus state with a small calculation quantity. SOLUTION: This position recognition device is a device which recognizes a specific position of an arbitrary still body and is equipped with recognized marks Mi (i=1 to 8) fitted at desired positions of the still body, an image pickup means 6 which picks up an image of the recognized marks of the still body, and an arithmetic means 7 which finds position information on the recognized marks Mi by performing an image process with the luminance signals of the recognized marks Mi picked up by the image pickup means 6; when one arbitrary recognized mark Mi is set as a target and the image pickup means 6 is put closer, the arithmetic means 7 finds information on the distance between the target recognized mark Mj and image pickup means 6 according to the position information on the target recognized mark Mj and arrangement information on other recognized marks Mi.

SOLUTION: An arbitrary self-position indicating object capable of photographing is provided with, for example, 4 pieces of luminous diodes LED1 to 4 attached to a specific surface of a bracelet 1 for reference surface setting and a flashing control circuit 13 controlling input/output of the luminous diodes 1 to 4. The flashing control circuit 13 is for controlling the luminous diodes LED1 to 4 so as to have different flashing patterns.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable phase estimation of fading to be performed at high speed. SOLUTION: A phase decision surface operation circuit 21 reads a pilot block back and forth of a current time slot from a memory 20 and operates a reference phase plane (a phase of a QPSK carrier wave) on the basis of that. From the discriminated reference phase plane, it is decided whether or not it is a high-speed fading. When it is judged to be the high-speed fading, the reference phase plane is corrected on the basis of the phase differential information outputted by an adder 30 of a control circuit 24.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transfer a received packet to an upper layer with a low delay.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus comprises a reception part that receives a packet, a response transmission part that, every time a packet group including two or more packets is received, transmits a response packet including information concerning a packet having an error occurring of the packet group, a packet transmission part that transmits a packet having no error occurring to an upper layer, and an error correction part that uses data of the packet having no error occurring to restore data of the packet having the error occurring. The response transmission part detects from the packet having no error occurring of the packet group a packet last received by the reception part, and transmits a response packet indicating that all the packets received prior to the detected packet have no error occurring.
