Abstract:
When different tape numbers are given to the programs recorded on the same video tape, the programs are integrally managed, and a guide function with great ease of use is provided. A recorded program information management apparatus comprises a program number setting means for setting different tape number information depending on the tape and different program number information depending on the program, a recording control means for recording program number information superposingly on the video signals, a storage means for storing the program information recorded on the tape correspondingly to the tape number information, and a reconstruction means for managing the corresponding tape numbers when the program number information is stored correspondingly to the different tape number information among the programs recorded on the same tape, and further comprises an identification information extracting means for extracting the program number information for each program from the tape, and a storage control means for allowing the program number information corresponding to the tape numbers to be stored.
Abstract:
A plurality of simultaneously inputted signals are successively sent to an additional information decoding means by switching a switching means at prescribed timing, and additional information contained in each input signal is detected and decoded. Thus, a plurality of pictures corresponding to the additional information are generated from the input signals and displayed on the same screen.
Abstract:
An optical pickup which can be used for the record and/or reproduction for at least two different types of optical discs. The optical pickup device has a first objective lens, a second objective lens which has a numerical aperture different from the numerical aperture of the first objective lens, a bobbin to which the first and second objective lenses are attached and a driving mechanism by which the bobbin is transferred in a first direction parallel with the optical axis of the first and second objective lenses and in a second direction perpendicular to the optical axis of the first and second objective lenses. By using the first and second objective lenses selectively, data are recorded and/or reproduced on and/or from at least two different types of optical discs.
Abstract:
An image encoding device and an image decoding device of an image transmission system, by which the image quality of decoded image does not deteriorate. Color frame information DCF used when a predetermined video signal is divided into luminance component and chrominance component is extracted before the video signal SSDI1 is compressed, the extracted video signal is added after the compression, and the combined signal is sent out. Before the compressed video signal SSDDI1 sent from a transmitter means (18A) is decompressed, the color frame information is extracted, and after the decompression the color frame information is added. Thus the color frame information DCF is added to the decompressed video signal SSDI1 as it is without transforming the data in the color frame information, and sent out. Therefore, reproduced image signals (composite image signals) SOUTA are obtained by using the color frame information of the decoded video signals SSDI1 and the deterioration of a reproduced image is prevented.
Abstract:
A video tape recorder which records video signals having a field frequency of 60 Hz and video signals having a field frequency of 59.94 Hz on a magnetic tape in one type of format. A video tape recorder which records video signals having a first field frequency and video signals having a second field frequency is so constituted that the centers (11a) of the two kinds of video signals recorded on their recording tracks on the magnetic tape (7) are substantially in the same position of the tape (7).
Abstract:
A program schedule guide controller generates a program schedule image containing date and time information, program title information, and category information, only displays the titles of programs to be broadcast on the channel being selected, and enables the user to arbitrarily register displayed category information. The titles of the programs frequently watched by the user are automatically registered and the titles are contained in the category information. Therefore, an electronic program guide (EPG) which is very useful to the user is provided.
Abstract:
A moving apparatus is mainly driven by man power for a man to travel and provided with a drive power assisting device. The moving apparatus detects a travelling condition by detecting a speed of rotation of a rotating unit such as wheels without contacting the rotating unit, and permits the drive power assisting device to supply an assiting drive power to the rotating unit in accordance with a speed change information, which a driver issues on the basis of a travelling information detected, to thereby perform a smooth travelling even when travelling only by man power becomes difficult.
Abstract:
An IR keyboard (1) generates key code information corresponding to an operated key, adds break flag information indicating whether the key is "in operation" or "not in operation" to the key code information as the operating state information of the key, adds terminator code information indicating the completion of the key code information corresponding to each key operation to the end of the key code information, and transmits the key code information, break flag information, and terminator code information on infrared signals from a light emitting section (11). A light receiving section (2) receives the infrared signals from the section (11) and inputs the key operation information of the IR keyboard (1) to a computer system (3). When the section (2) fails to receive signals because the break flag information added to the key information contained in the infrared signals transmitted from the section (11) indicates that the key is in operation, the section (2) starts time counting operations at the fault occurring time and, if the section (2) can receive signals within a prescribed counted time, it performs control as if signals were continuously received.
Abstract:
Synthetic resin material is molded with a mold to produce the disc substrate of an information signal recording medium. The molding part of the mold in which the disc substrate is molded is composed of a first mold which is a fixed mold and a second mold which is a movable mold. Both the mold is butted against each other. Metal smoothing layers are formed integrally on the molding surface sides of the first and second molds. Further, uneven patterns which correspond to information signals, etc. recorded on the disc substrate are directly formed on the metal layers. Thus, the disc substrate whose surface is flattened with a high precision and is free from local undulations and protrusions and onto which the uneven patterns on the mold sides are transferred with a high precision can be obtained.
Abstract:
A simple optical pickup for writing and reading information signals on and from an optical disk. The optical pickup is adaptable to one of optical disks having transparent substrates of different thicknesses. A first objective lens (7a) which focuses a first light beam from a first light source on a first type of optical disk (101) and a second objective lens (7b) which focuses a second light beam from a second light source (6) on a second type of optical disk (102) are provided on a lens bobbin (8). The bobbin (8) is movably supported by a cylindrical supporting shaft and the movement of the bobbin (8) is controlled by means of a magnetic circuit.
