    Abstract: The invention relates to a superabsorbent polymer comprising a composition comprising a polymeric resin composition comprising from about 55 to about 99.9 wt.% of polymerizable unsaturated acid group containing monomers, from about 0.001 to about 5.0 wt.% of internal crosslinking agent and from 0 to 25 wt % of a preneutralizing agent; wherein the polymeric resin composition is preneutralized from 0 to about 50 mole %; and a water swellable, water-insoluble aminopolysaccaride polymer wherein when the superabsorbent polymer is contacted with an aqueous solution, the polymeric resin composition is neutralized by the aminopolysaccaride polymer so that the superabsorbent polymer has a degree of neutralization of about 20 mole % or more than the preneutralization degree of the polymeric resin composition.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to an aqueous superabsorbent polymer paste comprising from about 1 to about 5 wt % of superabsorbent particles and from about 95 to about 99 wt % of an aqueous water-soluble solution having from about 0.5 to about 5%, preferably from about 1 to about 3% solid level.
