Abstract: An image display apparatus includes a display configured to display a first image corresponding to a region of a 360-degree image, and to display an indicator in a three-dimensional (3D) shape including a pointer pointing to a location of the region, a sensor configured to sense an input for moving the region, and a controller configured to control movement of the region and to display a second image corresponding to a region to which the region has been moved, and to move the pointer within the indicator based on the movement of the region. The pointer is movable in an altitudinal direction and an azimuthal direction within the indicator.
