An electronic apparatus including a proximity sensor is provided. The apparatus includes a touch sensor configured to sense a touch trace of the object in response to a user gesture of touching the electronic apparatus using an object and moving the touched point being input, a proximity sensor configured to sense a motion of the object before and after the touch, and a controller configured to change the touch trace based on a direction of motion of the object before and after the touch, and recognize the user gesture according to the changed touch trace. Accordingly, the touch trace may be changed and thus, an accurate control operation may be performed.

A display device includes a signal receiver connecting with one among a plurality of source devices, and configured to receive a content signal from the connected source device. A display is configured to display an image based on a content signal received through the signal receiver. A processor is configured to acquire time information corresponding to a time from a point of connecting with the source device to a point of displaying an image when the source device is connected to the signal receiver, and to control the display to display a user interface (UI) to indicate a connected state based on the acquired time information.

The processor controls the moving state of the pointing object according to a relative coordinate method for a first area where a screen of the display is included, and controls the moving state of the pointing object according to an absolute coordinate method for a second area outside the first area.

According to the display apparatus, a display is provided which is configured to display contents received from a broadcast channel, a communicator configured to communicate with a server which stores a control code set according to a plurality of broadcaster, and a controller configured to extract feature information related to contents and transmits feature information and broadcast channel number information to the server through a communicator, is included. The method for controlling the electronic apparatus receives an input of an audio which includes a user's voice, processes the audio and generates a user voice signal, transmits the user voice signal to a first server outside, receives text information corresponding to the user voice signal from the first server, and controls the electronic apparatus according to the text information.
