PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slat lifting/lowering apparatus for a horizontal blind, which can reduce the number of components and the number of man-hours for assembly while enabling simultaneous ascent/descent of a lifting/lowering cord suspended and supported ahead of and in the rear of a slat.SOLUTION: In a slat lifting/lowering apparatus for a horizontal blind, a lifting/lowering cord suspended from each of a plurality of winding shafts rotatably supported in a head box is suspended ahead of and in the rear of a slat, and a rotational-direction conversion device for concurrently winding or unwinding the lifting/lowering cords by rotating the winding shaft suspending the lifting/lowering cord on the indoor side of the slat and the winding shaft suspending the lifting/lowering cord on the outdoor side of the slat in directions opposite to each other on the basis of rotation of a drive shaft is provided between the drive shaft and each of the winding shafts. Rotation conversion devices 13 and 14 are configured by meshing bevel gears together.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter removal device of a rolling screen, preventing the screen from being damaged and contaminated by stably removing foreign matters from the screen irrespective of the change in the roll diameter of the screen. SOLUTION: In this rolling screen, a winding shaft 4 is rotatably supported between a pair of side brackets 3, the screen 5 is suspended from the winding shaft 4, and the screen 5 is lifted up and down by rotating the winding shaft 4. When the screen 5 is operated to raise, contact parts 8a, 8b which are brought into contact with the entire width of both front and rear surfaces of the screen 5 so as not to be rotated, are supported between the side brackets 3. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical blind which enables the formation of a slat group for shielding outside light and a slat group for letting in the outside light, by making the angles of the plurality of slat groups adjustable at different angles in a synchronous manner. SOLUTION: The first and second slat groups are composed of slats 2 which are suspended and supported from each runner 3, and a tilt unit is equipped with rotation delay devices 16a and 17 which delay the rotation starting timing of the first slat group with respect to that of the second slat one. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting device capable of easily adjusting the lower limit position of a bottom rail and having a large adjustment range. SOLUTION: The lower end section of a rudder cord 2 suspended and supported from a head box is coupled with an adjusting means 4 provided on the bottom rail 1, and the lower limit position of the bottom rail 1 is adjusted by pulling the rudder cord 2 toward the bottom rail 1 or returning it toward the head box with the adjusting means 4. The adjusting means 4 is provided movably along the lower face of the bottom rail 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the intervals of folding lines formed in a screen on front and rear sides of the screen, and to expand a range of materials used for the screen.SOLUTION: A pleated screen includes: a first pitch holding cord suspended on a screen 2; a second pitch holding cord suspended on the screen 2; a front side holding part provided in the first pitch holding cord, and supporting the screen 2 on the front side thereof by engaging with the front side in the screen; and a rear side holding part provided in the second pitch holding cord, and supporting the screen 2 on the rear side thereof by engaging with the rear side in the screen. The first pitch holding cord and the second pitch holding cord are independent of each other, and the front side holding part and the rear side holding part support mutually different positions in a lateral direction which is a direction in which folding lines 9 formed in the screen extends.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal blind which can reduce an operating physical force while enabling an angle of a slat of an upper portion and that of a slat of a lower portion to be adjusted to different angles, respectively. SOLUTION: A first ladder cord 9 is supported in the state of being suspended from a first hanging drum 8 which is rotated on the basis of the rotation of a drive shaft 4; and a second ladder cord 16 is supported in the state of being suspended from a second hanging drum 15 with a small diameter, which is rotated integrally with the drive shaft. The first hanging drum 8 and the drive shaft are integrally rotated until the first slat 10 is turned to a fully-closed state; and the further rotation of the first hanging drum 8 in the same direction is inhibited when the first slat 10 is turned to the fully-closed state. Clutch devices 3, 7, 12 and 14 for allowing the rotation of the drive shaft are provided. The second ladder cord 16 with a length equivalent to the amount of unwinding is prewound around the second hanging drum 15, when the second slat 17 is turned to a reverse fully-closed state from the fully-closed state. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting device capable of easily adjusting the lower- limit position of a bottom rail without adjusting the length of a ladder cord. SOLUTION: In a horizontal blind, multistage slats and the bottom rail are suspended for support from a head box through the ladder cord, an operating bar 6 for controlling the angle of the slat is suspended for support from one side of the head box, one end of an elevating cord 2 for allowing the slat and the bottom rail to move up and down is connected to the bottom rail, and the other end thereof is inserted into the operating bar 6 through the head box and connected to an equalizer 7, which is operated and permits the other end of the elevating cord 2 to be drawn out from/drawn into the operating bar 6 for the purpose of enabling the bottom rail to move up and down. The equalizer 7 is provided with an adjusting means 8 for adjusting the maximum amount of retraction of the elevating cord 2 into the operating bar 6 so as to take the lower-limit position of the bottom rail as adjustable.

SOLUTION: The device is composed of an adjusting member 8 which has at least 2 step adjusting positions and a supporting member 9 which supports the adjusting part 8 at a specified adjusting position. A bottom rail 6 is supported by the adjusting member 8 of which the length is made adjustably by the supporting member 9.
