    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled furnace fot the simultaneous treatment of a number of threads, facilitating the threading at the start of the operation or in the case of end breakage during the operation, by attaching a guiding part for a threading guide to the inner wall of the heating chamber, and providing an ending hole to bind an end of the thread to the threading guide. CONSTITUTION:The guiding paths 5, 5' for the threading guide 6 are formed to the inner wall of the heating chamber capable of treating a number of threads 3 in parallel, and the threading guide 6 is made to be movable vertically along the vertical groove in the case of threading. An end of the thread 3 is passed through the ending hole 7 and attached to the threading guide 6, both ends of the threading guides 6 are inserted into the guiding paths 5, 5', and the guide 6 is allowed to fall.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the threading in a carbonization furnace, by measuring the tension applied to the thread running in the furnace, and controlling the feeding rate of the thread into the furnace or the speed of the running thread in the furnace according to the measured value. CONSTITUTION:A number of rollers 10, 11 for extending a thread in the carbonization furnace 6 are placed above and below the furnace, and the chain wheels 10L and 11L are attached freely rotatably to both ends of each roller. The guide chain 14L is extended over the chain wheels, and an ending bar 16 is extended between the guide chains 14L at both sides. The end of the thread 1 supplied from the feed roller 2 is attached to the ending guide 16, the chain 14L is driven and circulated by the motor 16, and the thread 1 is introduced into the carbonization furnace 7. In the above process, the tension applied to the introduced thread is measured near the inlet of the furnace 7 by the tension meter 19, and the rotational speed of the feed roller 2 or the circulation speed of the chain 14L is controlled according to the level of the tension.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:The title fibers capable of imparting sufficient antistatic properties even to a mixture with ordinary fibers, comprising a conductive polymer contained in an antistatic polymer which is dispersed in a fiber-forming polymer matrix in streaks. CONSTITUTION:An antistatic polymer B containing a conductive polymer C is preferably distributed and oriented in a fiber-forming polymer matrix A. in streaks. More preferably, the polymer C is dispersed in the polymer B in streaks, and B and C are oriented in the fiber axis direction respectively in streaks. The fibers thus obtained have sufficient antistatic properties at a low humidity, without fear of electric shock even in a mixture with other fibers having no antistatic properties, and are widely usable.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A polyether polymer composition containing carbon black is sealed with an inert gas and kept below 45 deg.C, thus being stabilized and improving the reduction of moldability caused by reduction of carbon dispersibility. CONSTITUTION:A composition consisting of (A) 2-10wt% of carbon black, (B) 3-50wt% of polyether polymer and (C) the rest of a solvent dissolving the polyether is sealed with an inert gas as nitrogen, carbon dioxide or argon and kept below 45 deg.C. Component (A) has an average particle size of less than 100, preferably 50mmu and high electric conductivity. Component (B) is a graft polymer containing polyethylene glycol and acrylonitrile as the major ingredient units.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:Finely porous acrylic fibers with good water-absorption and reduced fluctuation in properties, which are composed of more than 90 wt % of an acrylonitrile polymer and less than 10 wt % of a heat-resistant void stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:Said finely porous acrylic fibers are composed of (A) more than 90 wt %, preferably 90-99.9wt% of an acrylic polymer, preferably a copolymer from at least 90 mole % of acrylonitrile and less then 10 mole % of monomers copolymerizable with acrylonitrile and (B) less than 10 wt %, perferably 10-0.1 wt % of a heat-resistant void stabilizer of a water-insoluble polymer that is miscible but incompatible with the acrylic polymer, soluble in the solvent for the acrylic polymer and softens above about 100 deg.C, such as acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer, cellulose acetate, or methyl metacrylate polymer.
