Abstract: A method of handling a wind turbine component (112) in a wind turbine (101) comprising a tower (102) extending in an upwards direction, a load carrying structure (103, 103′, 103″) fixed to the tower and extending in an outwards direction transverse to the upwards direction. According to the method, a crane (21) with a fixation structure (22) is provided and raised to the level of the load carrying structure by use of a hoisting rope. Once in position, the crane is used for handling the wind turbine component.

Abstract: A method is provided for controlling the shutdown of a wind turbine of the type having a rotor, the rotor including one or more wind turbine blades. The method includes dynamically determining a rotor speed reference; obtaining a measure of the rotor speed of the rotor; determining an error between the rotor speed reference and the rotor speed of the rotor; and controlling a pitch of one or more of the wind turbine blades based on the determined error. A corresponding wind turbine controller and a wind turbine including such a controller are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydraulic pitch system for pitching a blade of a wind turbine having a hub by means of a hydraulic fluid. The system comprises at least one hydraulic cylinder for adjusting a pitch angle of the blade, the hydraulic cylinder comprising a pitch piston movable in the hydraulic cylinder, and a first port and a second port arranged on each side of the pitch piston, and an accumulator hydraulically connected to the cylinder. The system further comprises a pitch safety system adapted to maintain the blade in a predetermined pitch angle when a person is entering the hub of the wind turbine for service and/or maintenance, the pitch safety system comprising a first valve which by activation releases a pressure in the hydraulic pitch system by draining off the accumulator for the hydraulic fluid until the pressure has reached a predetermined pressure level.

Abstract: The invention provides a wind turbine including a nacelle, a rotor having at least one blade attached to a hub, and an electrical supply structure for supplying electrical power from the nacelle to the rotor. The rotor is rotatably connected to the nacelle about an axis of rotation. The supply structure comprises a switch which has a connected mode in which the nacelle and the rotor are electrically connected, and a disconnected mode in which the nacelle and the rotor are electrically disconnected. Furthermore, the switch is adapted to change from the disconnected mode to the connected mode when the rotor does not rotate.

Based on a requested motor speed reference as an input signal, and a mean motor speed reference as a feedback signal, the method determines a required motor torque reference as an output signal for the plurality of yaw drive actuators. The plurality of yaw drive actuators rotates a nacelle or a structure comprising a plurality of nacelles such that an even load distribution is provided for the plurality of yaw drive actuators.

Abstract: A wind turbine comprising a tower (2) with a tower wall and having at least one nacelle (3) mounted thereon, and a yaw system (1) interconnecting the tower (2) and at least one nacelle (3) is disclosed. The yaw system (1) comprises a yaw claw (4) comprising an upper radially extending part (5), a lower radially extending part (6) and an axially extending part (7) interconnecting the upper radially extending part (5) and the lower radially extending part (6), thereby defining a space. A sliding bearing connection with at least two axial sliding surfaces (9, 10) and at least one radial sliding surface (11) is arranged between the yaw claw (4) and a flange (8) arranged in the space defined by the yaw claw (4). At least one yaw drive (13) comprising a toothed gear (14) is arranged in meshing connection with a toothed yaw ring (12). The axially extending part (7) of the yaw claw (4) and the meshing connection between the toothed gear (14) and the toothed yaw ring (12) are arranged at the same side of the tower wall.

Abstract: A logistics system for a multirotor wind turbine (1) is disclosed. The multirotor wind turbine (1) comprises two or more energy generating units (4), each mounted on an arm (3) extending from a tower (2) of the multirotor wind turbine (1). A control unit is configured to receive information regarding contents and position of the transport containers (15), and to plan transport of the transport containers (15) via the transport system (14, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36), based on a service plan for the multirotor wind turbine (1).
