Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide color image processing capable of preparing images prepared for visualization on a source device so as to be visualized on a destination device. SOLUTION: A color image processing apparatus operates to convert a first image description, based on a first color space, described by a set of first color space parameters into a second image description, based on a second color space, described by a set of second color space parameters. The image processor 810 includes a set of conversion rules and a set of rule associated vectors (834-838). Each rule associated vector is related to specific first color space parameter values. Additionally, each rule associated vector identifies specific conversion rules, associated with the particular first color space parameter value. The image processor further comprises a conversion rule selector 820 that operates to use the rule associated vectors to find an intersection of rules associated with a given set of first color space parameter values, to thereby select a rule for execution based on the intersection. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a color printer calibration process by breaking down a cycle where an operator must track all details. SOLUTION: A color printer calibration process is automated and a spectrometer scanner reads out job identification data recorded by a calibration system on a printer being calibrated from each printed page. The job identification data includes an encoded identification of printer, a tested part (target) of calibration, current date, name of operator, and some extra information required for a given production environment.
