PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual mode image processing device that selectively uses both erasable paper and non-erasable paper for image processing. SOLUTION: A dual mode image processing system 200 includes: an input 220 for supplying at least one of erasable paper 100 and non-erasable paper 104 as a medium; an image processing subsystem 240 for performing image processing on the non-erasable paper 104; a heating subsystem 250 for selectively heating the input medium to one of an erasing temperature and an image processing temperature, according to a type of image processing operation; a cooling subsystem 270 for selectively cooling the erased medium 100 to the image processing temperature; and a write subsystem 260 for performing image processing on the erased paper 100. SOLUTION: A printing system includes a first test image (a data glyph and a plurality of reference patches) printed by a first image marking engine on a media document and a second test image (a data glyph and a plurality of reference patches) printed by a second image marking engine on the same side of the media document. The scanned first and second test images provide revision data for matching color correction tables of the first image marking engine and the second image marking engine, wherein the data glyph and the reference patches of the scanned image data are compared with retrieved color correction tables for generating compensation values. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preserve and extend toner life by suitably reducing toner abuse in a development system for transferring toner from a magnetic roll to donor rolls so that generation of reload defects is prevented or reduced. SOLUTION: The development system for an electrophotographic system comprises a reload defect detector 96 for detecting potential for generation of reload defect, in an image to be developed from a scanning image corresponding to the image to be developed and generating a signal, corresponding to the potential for generation of the reload defect indicating a detection result and a magnetic roll speed selector 98 for receiving the signal, corresponding to the potential for generation of the reload defect from the reload defect detector 96 and selecting the rotational speed for the magnetic roll 70 in the development system according to the received signal, corresponding to the potential for generation of the reload defect. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement an apparatus which prolongs the lifetime of a developer material and has sufficient reload and less mottle to provide a high printing image quality and allows high-speed printing which the markets demand. SOLUTION: In order to transport toner to a movable photoconductive belt 110, rotatable donor rolls 12 122 (and 124) constituting a developer unit are loaded with the toner, by a loading apparatus, comprising a reservoir for the developer material and a plurality of rotatable rolls, which are provided in a housing. A trim roll 112 from among the rotatable rolls picks up the developer material in the reservoir and hands off the developer material to a first magnetic brush roll (mag roll) 114. The first mag roll 114 delivers the toner in the developer material to the first donor roll 122 and delivers the developer material to a second mag roller 116. The second mag roller 116, of which the axis of rotation is positioned below that of the first mag roll 114, delivers the toner in the developer material to the first donor roll 122.
