Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small document-lighting apparatus by which a space occupied by a conventional lighting system is reduced and a problem of an entire size of a lamp and a reflector when combined with each other is solved.
SOLUTION: The document lighting apparatus is provided with: a light source region 110 which is set in a cavity in a photo-conductive material 100; and a light transmissive element having an illuminating light exit portion for taking out light 120 emitted from the light source region 110 toward a document. It also has; an image forming system 43 which converts a document image into electronic signals by forming an image of a reflected light 40 from the document onto a device 45 sensitive to light composed of sensors; and a storing device for recording the electronic signals as digital data.
