Abstract:
An electronic image processing apparatus has a controller and a plurality of resources in an arbitrary configuration. Each of the resources includes an associated processor storing data related to operational constraints of the associated resource and a bus interconnects the processors to the controller for directing the operation of the resources. The controller is adapted to operate independent of a particular configuration of the plurality of resources by receiving from each of the processors the data related to the operational constraints of each associated resource and interrogating each of the processors to determine the geometrical relationship of the interconnection of the resources. The controller then responds to the data related to the operational constraints of each of the processors and to the geometrical relationship of the interconnection of the resources to dynamically configure the image processing apparatus to operate in accordance with the the operational constraints of each of the processors and to the geometrical relationship of the interconnection of the resources.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high speed digital printing on a cut sheet medium with the usage of the monochrome and color functions with the minimum facility investment by a user in a digital printing system. SOLUTION: The system 40 includes first and second print lines 42 and 60 including paper feeding devices 44 and 62, marking engines 46 and 64, and finishers 48 and 68. The print lines 42 and 60 can be switched between a mode capable of independently marking a sheet fed from the paper feeding devices 44 and 62, and a mode capable of continuously marking the sheet fed only from one of the paper feeding devices 44 and 62. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform assembly tree displaying for universally describing job requirements with print preparation completed therein without depending on machines. SOLUTION: An electronic image processing apparatus includes a controller and a plurality of resources in a method for defining a document by assembly tree format. The controller is adapted to dynamically configure an image processing apparatus to fix processing requirements as a combination of images defining a set of sheets. The processing requirements are converted into assembly tree relationship and the job requirements are formulated. The controller obtains tree relationship to operate the image forming apparatus in response to the assembly tree relationship of copy sheets and the compiler of the copy sheets. The document is formulated by defining some images as the plurality of images being the combination of other images. The set of the sheets is defined, each of which includes one or more images. The assembly tree format is output thereby to independently process timing and print order. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
