Abstract:
A valve door for a seal cylinder (3) comprises a lid (104) having first and second surfaces and a connecting means (15) connecting the lid (104) with an actuating mechanism, the connecting means (15) distributes forces from the actuating mechanism across a portion of the first lid surface in order to bias the lid (104) to a closed position. A force directing member is attached to the first lid surface, the force directing member being adapted to distribute force from the connecting means over a portion of the lid surface, thereby maintaining a positive seal and reducing lid deflection.
Abstract:
According to the invention a cap (1) for a pen or pencil (100) that has an opening (2) for the introduction of the pen or pencil (100) and a sealing bead (3) that extends radially inwards and runs around the longitudinal axis (L) of the cap (1) with a closed contour, the cap (1) having at least one first component (K1) with a first flexibility and a second component (K2) with a second flexibility that is greater than the first flexibility is further developed in that the interior (7) of the cap (1) in the region lying opposite the opening (2) in relation to the sealing bead (3) and in the region of the sealing bead (3) is delimited by the first component (K1), the second component (K2) lies on the outside in the region of the sealing bead (3) along a closed contour on the first component (K1), and the adjustability of the cap (1) by a force acing in the radial direction in the region of the sealing bead (3) is greater than in a region lying opposite the opening (2) in relation to the sealing bead (3) (FIG. 1). Furthermore, the invention also relates to a method of producing this type of cap and to a cosmetic pencil that has a cap.
Abstract:
A cap for a pencil, in particular a cosmetic pencil, comprises a cap body provided with a pencil-sharpener and adapted to be nested over one end of the pencil, a cap top adapted to be nested fixedly onto said cap body, and means attached to said cap top for restricting movement of said pencil relative to said cap body.
Abstract:
A hand held implement and a clip intended for use on a hand held implement with the clip including graphical or imprinted material on a removable piece. The clip further includes a base plate upon which the removable piece is placed in typical construction and use and a transparent cover which is fitted onto the base plate to create a unitized assembly in which the removable piece is sandwiched between the base plate and cover. The removable piece may thereafter be quickly and easily replaced or modified to change, revise or otherwise update the imprinted material viewed through the transparent cover of the clip.
Abstract:
A multifunctional cosmetic applicator is an apparatus that is used to apply multiple different types of makeup. The apparatus includes a tubular body which is used to house a lip makeup dispenser and a wide makeup applicator. A second retraction mechanism is inserted in the tubular body and is used to extend or retract the wide makeup applicator in relation to the tubular body. The lip makeup dispenser provides a means of storing and applying makeup used on the lips. A first cap covers the end of the tubular body in which the lip makeup dispenser is located. A second cap is used to cover the end of the tubular body in which the wide makeup dispenser is located. A makeup container is connected to the second cap and holds makeup which may be applied using the wide makeup applicator.
Abstract:
A pencil sharpener (1) with a handle (3) and a sharpener insert (4) inserted into the handle (3) with a pencil guide channel (33) and a paring blade (34) is proposed, in conjunction with which the handle (3) is formed so as to correspond at least partially to the inner contours of a curved human hand (26). Improved ease of handling is achieved through the formed handle (3). Also proposed is a method for the manufacture of a pencil sharpener (1) of this kind, in which the handle (3) is formed in subsidiary areas so as to correspond to the inner contours of the human hand (26).
Abstract:
A cosmetic pencil case for housing a cosmetic pencil having a cap thereon, comprising an elongated hollow body having a bottom end and an open top end, the bottom end having an outer surface which forms the external, bottom surface of the elongated hollow body, and an inner surface, a removable stopper affixed to the top end of said hollow body forming a cover, said stopper having an outer surface which forms the external top surface of the elongated hollow body, and an inner surface containing a recessed cavity of a size and shape to accommodate the cap of the cosmetic pencil in a friction fit; as well as the cosmetic pencil in combination with the case.
