In one embodiment, the V-bank filter assembly includes a top panel and bottom panel coupled in a spaced apart relation, each of the top and bottom panels having a first edge and a second edge, a plurality of panel end seal struts extending between the top and bottom panels, each panel end seal struts having a first mating sealing feature facing the first edge of the top and bottom panels, the first mating sealing feature configured to sealingly engage a replaceable filter panel, wherein the plurality of panel end seal struts are located adjacent the second edge, and a plurality of filter panel receiving tracks defined between the top and bottom panels configured to align filter panels disposed in the tracks with a respective first mating sealing feature.
Abstract:
A surface filter for aquarium water purification is placed on the bottom of the aquarium that sucks the waste out of the tank to the canister filter. Small plastic pieces make and connect the main stream channels. Each plastic piece is composed of a couple of inverted pyramids that acts like a funnel. Water flows through the main channels sucked by an external filter. In the base of each inverted pyramid a small hole opens to the drainage channel, which has a hollow inverted V shape. Water, particles and fish waste are passed through the channels to the external filter. At the end of the assembly a cross channel collects the drained water. Collected water is transferred to the external filter outside the aquarium. A hose connects the external filter with the collector. Another hose is connected to the same filter to return the filtered water back to the aquarium.

Abstract:
This invention is a surface (ground) filter for aquarium water purification. This filter is placed on the bottom of the aquarium, which can suck the waste out of the tank to the canister filter (external filter). It is mainly made of small plastic pieces connected by main stream channels. Each plastic piece is composed of a couple of inverted pyramids that acts like a funnel figure 2a no. (10). Water flows through the main channels sucked by an external filter. In the base of each inverted pyramid a small hole opens to the drainage channel, which has a hollow inverted V shape figure 3a no. (11). Water, particles and fish waste are passed through the channels to the external filter (Canister filter). The assembly of all pieces will cover most of the ground surface of the aquarium tank. At the end of the assembly a vertical channel (collector) collects the drained water figure 5 no. (23). Collected water is transferred to the external filter outside the aquarium. A hose connects the external filter with the collector. Another hose is connected to the same filter to return the filtered water back to the aquarium FIG.3A
Abstract:
A device for mass transfer between blood and at least one gas/gas mixture, includes first and second chambers through which blood is able to flow and in each of which a respective plurality of mass-permeable hollow fibers are disposed around a respective axially extending core element, wherein a gas/gas mixture is able to flow through, and blood is able to flow around, the hollow fibers, wherein the second chamber follows the first chamber in the blood flow direction, wherein the first and second chambers are disposed next to one another, and in particular disposed spaced apart between the core element center axes thereof, and the two chambers have a connection in an axial end region by which the chamber volumes through which blood is able to flow are connected, and in particular are connected in the direction of the spacing.
Abstract:
An air cleaner includes a first housing, a second housing, and a filter element. The first housing has an opening. The second housing has an opening that is opposed to the opening of the first housing. The filter element is arranged between the opening of the first housing and the opening of the second housing. At least one of the first housing and the second housing includes a corner portion, a sound reducing member, and an air chamber. The corner portion is constituted by at least two mutually intersecting inner surfaces of the housing. The sound reducing member includes a sound absorbing portion made of an air permeable material. The sound reducing member bridges the at least two inner surfaces and covers the corner portion. The air chamber is defined between the sound reducing member and the corner portion.
Abstract:
A fluid filtering apparatus and method may include keyed components to ensure that a correct filter element is being installed into a filter base, and to automatically actuate a fluid valve as the filter element is rotated into place on the base. Tool-less replacement of the element is provided. An embodiment of the element may include inner and outer substantially tubular-shaped media packs disposed about an axis, with one end of each of the inner and outer media packs being attached to an end cap of the element in a manner defining a fluid flow space between the inner and outer media packs for receiving a flow of fluid directed in parallel through the inner and outer media packs. A housing of the filter apparatus may include a flow tube configured to fit into the space between the inner and outer media packs.
Abstract:
An air cleaner assembly is disclosed. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly includes a housing defining an inlet and an outlet, and including an access opening between the inlet and outlet. The air cleaner also includes a filter cartridge received within the housing and covering the access opening. The air cleaner also includes a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism is movable between an unlocked position in which the filter cartridge can be installed and removed from the housing and a locked position in which the filter cartridge is secured within the housing. The filter cartridge and lock mechanism include interacting features allowing the lock mechanism to be moved from the unlocked position to the locked position only when the filter cartridge is installed within the housing.
