Abstract:
A paving stone system for producing aesthetically pleasing paving stones. The paving stone system includes positioning a tile member within a container, applying a bonding agent to the tile member and filling the container with concrete. The tile member is comprised of a flat portion having an upper surface and a lower surface, a first side wall extending from the lower surface and a second side wall extending from the lower surface. The first side wall and the second side wall are preferably curved inwardly toward one another to lock within the concrete. A unique pattern may be applied to the upper surface of the tile member providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Abstract:
Apparatus and processes that include tiles having an extending member that is disposed within a concavity on the bottom side of the tile and that extends a distance therefrom. The extending member may additionally be coupled to an anchor member disposed within the concavity on the bottom side of the tile. The extending member is set within a substrate such that it is held fast, thereby improving the bonding of the tile to the substrate.
Abstract:
A decorative paving tile or panel comprises a plurality of irregularly shaped stone elements of the same or differing thickness embedded in a backing layer or base to form a tile or panel of the predetermined thickness wherein the normally exposed surfaces of said stone elements lie in a plane substantially parallel to a mounting surface of said backing layer or base. A flowable displacement material may be employed in the interstices between-adjacent stone elements and/or a boundary wall of a tile or panel mould to forma grouting channel. An irregular space between adjacent stone elements of adjacent tiles or panels allows the formation of an optically seamless tiled or panelled surface when grouted.
Abstract:
A system of light weight, high strength, thin masonry panels having one or more mateable seam hiding edges. The seam hiding edge may be serpentine or some other shape consistent with the masonry element chosen for the panel surface. The aforementioned thin masonry panels are used to construct patio or walkway surfaces as well as provide a decorative facing for walls, fireplaces, and the like. The thickness of the panels is limited to the range of 1 to 2 inches in order to assure a light weight for ease of construction. Each panel is a reinforced series of masonry elements such as stone or brick pavers bound together by a cement or mortar-like material. The claimed invention also includes an attachment plate for affixing the panels to other surfaces and structures.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A double walled earth grabbing water permeable modular paver having a first group of outer cells, a second group of outer cells, a third group of outer cells, a fourth outer cell, a fifth outer cell, and a plurality of inner cells. Each of the plurality of outer cells and inner cells further include an outer wall; an inner wall; a top surface; a plurality of structural support ribs; a permeable bottom portion engaging each inner wall; and a plurality gripping members extending from the permeable bottom portion.

Abstract:
Apparatus and processes that include a detectable warning tile having a top side with a plurality of protuberances forming a pattern or array and a second tile member disposed perpendicular to an edge of the detectable warning tile. The bottom side of both the detectable warning tile and the second tile member have at least one anchoring member embedded within a concavity in the bottom side, making the tile and tile member especially durable on platform edges.

Abstract:
Procedure of construction of pavements according to which, upon the substrate to be paved a support of asphalt agglomerate is prepared (AA) of flexible nature, on which is placed a continuous structure (EC) configured by tiles (1), of flexible nature and of little thickness, interjoined. There is also an impregnation of de thermoplastic liquid resin (RL) between the asphalt agglomerate (AA) support and the continuous structure (EC).The continuous structure (EC) is composed of tiles (1) arranged according to a specific pattern, which are obtained in moulds and present a desired finish and different for the portion of pavement to be obtained at any given time. Its uncovered face may have one or several coats of finish (2).In the pavement obtained, said tiles (1) are of thickness less than 40 millimetres and composed of at least one thermoplastic resin (11) mixed with, at least, one aggregate (12).
