    Abstract: The reciprocating compressor is made with yoke units which connect opposite pairs of pistons while eliminating play between the yoke units and sliding block. Each yoke unit includes a pair of shoes which are removably secured to the pistons and which are adapted to guide the sliding block moved by a crankshaft. Each yoke unit also includes a clamp ring which surrounds the shoes and which biases the shoes towards the sliding block. The shoes are removably secured to the pistons to permit the yoke unit to be readily disassembled. Bow-shaped clamping members may also be employed within each yoke unit to further bias the clamp ring against the shoes.

    Abstract: A pumping assembly is provided which is suitable for use in a variety of dosing pumps. The pumping assembly comprises a pump body with a pump bore, and a sleeve fixed within the pump bore. The sleeve has a first end, a second end and a sleeve bore. A plunger is adapted to enter the first end of the sleeve and to reciprocate within the sleeve bore. The sleeve has at least one port to allow fluid flow through a wall of the sleeve. The, or each, port is elongated in a direction substantially orthogonal to a direction of reciprocation.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve compression efficiency by applying treatment to a valve plate instead of providing a new member or modifying structure so as to restrict temperature rise of intake coolant gas. SOLUTION: A rear housing 14 provided with an intake chamber 24 and a delivery chamber 25 is connected to an end surface of a cylinder block 11 through a valve/port forming body 13. The valve/port forming body 13 is composed of the valve plate 26, an intake valve plate 27, and a delivery valve plate 28. In the valve plate 26, an intake port 29 and a delivery port 30 are formed. The valve plate 26 comprises a magnetic soft iron plate or a cold rolled steel plate, to which soft nitrification treatment is applied. In the valve plate 26, nitride layers 26a are formed on both surfaces of it. The nitride layer 26a is formed in such thickness that heat conductivity of the valve plate 26 is 60 W/mK or less. As a result, it may be possible to prevent an Oldham ring from being worn out due to contact with the orbiting scroll. Furthermore, a weight loss portion or wear-resistant coating layer may be formed on a part of the Oldham ring, thereby suppressing a vibration noise of the compressor from being increased due to a weight increase of the Oldham ring.
