Abstract:
A portable device for detecting an analyte associated with a target organic molecule in a liquid and/or solid substance. The device includes a test chamber, a probe, and a sensor. The test chamber contains a liquid volume of test solution including an analytical reagent selected to react with the analyte. The test chamber is sealed by a pierceable membrane wall. The probe is removably positionable to pierce the membrane wall to deposit a sample in the test chamber to form a test mixture with the test solution. The sensor is positioned to detect one or more characteristics of the test mixture in the test chamber indicative of a reaction between the analyte and the analytical reagent.
Abstract:
An apparatus for spectroscopic analysis of vinificition liquids features a sample holder for a sample container of vinification liquid, a light source for directing a beam of light into the sample supported by the sample holder, a spectrometer arranged for receiving and measuring the beam of light after interaction thereof with the sample in order to perform a spectroscopic scan of the sample and generate measured spectral data thereon, and a scanning device positioned for scanning a machine readable code on the sample container. A computing device in communication with the spectrometer and the scanning device applies a classification to the measured spectral data of the sample according to a classification code read from the sample container. The classification code is used to determine what parameters should be calculated from the spectral data for the particular sample in question.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a measurement device with a housing and at least one display integrated in the housing, wherein the housing comprises a recess adapted for insertion of a cartridge into the housing to deliver a sample to be measured to the device, wherein the recess has an opening at the front of the housing and a first part of the housing for insertion of the cartridge protudes in a direction enclosing an angle with a second part of the housing.
Abstract:
A cuvette suitable for use with photometric blood testing apparatus and the like. The cuvette includes a receptacle having flanges on either side having locating holes therein. The flanges are flexible to enhance the positioning of the cuvette. Single and dual cuvette embodiments are described. The invention additionally includes means for encoding a cuvette for optical detection thereof by means of multiple facets which reflect light passing therethrough molded integrally in the flanges.
