    Abstract: A signal delay time estimation device in a mobile communication system and a method thereof are provided to estimate delay time insensitive to signal properties by carrier combination, and to estimate delay time insensitive to distortion exactly by an amplifier when a digital predistorter is used, thereby increasing estimation accuracy of signal delay time. A first preprocessor(110) calculates amplitude of the first and second signals included in plural signals, and attenuates RF(Radio Frequency) signals. A sample delay estimator(130) calculates correlation coefficients by comparing the first signal outputted from the first preprocessor with the second signal outputted in a sample unit. A second preprocessor(150) clips the outputted first and second signals. A sub sample delay estimator(170) estimates delay time by comparing time differences between the first signal and the clipped second signal based on the clipped first signal sub sample unit.
