Abstract:
The invention concerns a cassette for a photosensitive product. The cassette comprises: a) a light-tight case; b) at least one roll of the photosensitive product wound on a core, the core being rotatably mounted inside the case; and c) means for indicating the quantity of photosensitive product remaining in the case; the indication means including means for determining the angle of rotation of the core in response to the unwinding of a given length of the photosensitive product, the angle being representative of the quantity of product remaining on the core.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a colour negative process wherein a photographic material comprising silver chloride or bromide and a DIR or DIAR coupler is processed in the presence of a polyester comprising intralinear thioether atoms.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a novel multilayer system comprising a diamond layer, and the method of manufacturing this multilayer system. The invention concerns a multilayer system comprising a metallic substrate, an interphase and a diamond layer, the interphase being composed of the product of thermal decomposition of at least one metallocene compound. This multilayer system, capable of being used as an electrode, has improved adhesion between the substrate and the diamond layer.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process and a device for the treatment by electrolysis of used photographic solutions containing developers in an electrolytic cell comprising at least one platinum anode. The invention enables the corrosion of the platinum anode to be minimized by using an efficient quantity of antifoaming agent and keeping the pH constant at a value equal to or above 10.5 at the beginning of electrolysis. The invention enables the quantity of platinum coming from the anode in solution to be reduced.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for the selective extraction of the halide ions from photographic fixing solutions. The process consists of bringing the photographic fixing solution into contact with a liquid membrane (8) comprising a solvent and a crown-ether carrier capable of carrying the halide ions from the fixing solution into an aqueous solution which is thus loaded with halides, and is then removed. Application to the recycling of fixing solutions.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method and a device for sublimating a solid material. The device according to the invention comprises: a) an enclosure (10) into which the solid material is introduced, which is held between two plates (13) of porous material; b) means (14) for sublimating the solid material inside the enclosure (10) so as to produce a vapour phase from the solid material; c) means (11, 12) for introducing into the enclosure (10) a carrier gas for conveying the vapour phase; and d) means (15, 17) for evacuating the vapour phase and the carrier gas. Application to the sublimation of amino-borane powder for the doping of diamond layers.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a process for obtaining metal halides, in particular rare earth and/or alkali earth halides. This process consists of forming a homogeneous solution by mixing one or more rare earth and/or alkali earth halogenoalkoxides in an anhydrous organic solvent, and hydrolysing this solution. The novel materials are obtained at room temperature and are in powder, fibre, film or bulk material form.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for coating a photographic support. The process consists of depositing on a support a succession of at least two layers, at least one of which consists of a photosensitive composition, the top layer, situated at the opposite side to the support, containing a given concentration of at least one surfactant, the process being characterised in that a surfactant present in the top layer is introduced into the layer adjacent to the top layer at a concentration equal to at least 25% of the concentration of the same surfactant in the said top layer. Application to photographic products.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a colour negative process wherein a photographic material comprising silver chloride or bromide and a DIR or DIAR coupler is processed in the presence of a polyester comprising intralinear thioether atoms.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a spectral sensitometer for a photosensitive surface. The sensitometer according to the invention comprises: i) a light-integrating waveguide (10) for receiving, guiding and integrating the monochromatic light from illumination means; ii) a plurality of optical fibres (12), the fibres of which are arranged so as to define a single entry face (11), the plurality of fibres being divided into a plurality of exit beams (13), each of the exit beams having a number of fibres which is chosen so as to produce a plurality of light beams, the respective intensities of which vary in a geometrical progression at a given rate; and iii) a light-integrating waveguide (16) associated with each of the exit beams, each of the waveguides (16) having a first end placed opposite the end face of the corresponding exit beam (13), the second end being placed opposite the photosensitive surface (17), so as to expose the photosensitive surface to the corresponding light beam. Application to the sensitometry of photographic films.
