Abstract:
Cell search and BCH(Broadcasting Channel) demodulation methods for an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system are provided to obtain the synchronization with low complexity and to offer a simple receiver structure without blind detection due to time ambiguity. A terminal obtains a sync block synchronization and the first sync channel sequence number by the first sync channel symbol included in the received frame(S1200). The boundary and scrambling code group is detected by the sync block synchronization and the second sync channel symbol included in the frame received by the terminal(S1210). A process for obtaining the scrambling code is performed by the first sync channel sequence number and the scrambling code group(S1220). A BCH included in the frame received by the terminal is modulated by the scrambling code so that the information of the wireless communication system is obtained. In the boundary and scrambling code group detection process, the number of BCH antennas or the length of CP(Cyclic Prefix) are obtained.

An apparatus and a method for synchronization channel transmission in a wireless communication system are provided to increase diversity gain by transmitting two main synchronization channel signals with different beams and using a precoder vector for each frame. A method for synchronization channel transmission includes the steps of: multiplexing a plurality of main synchronization channel signals(S210); and multiplying different first plural precoding vectors by the main synchronization channel signals. The first precoding vectors are perpendicular to each other. The first precoding vectors are different from second precoding vectors used at the time of precoding the main synchronization channel signals at a previous synchronization channel signal transmission time. The first precoding vectors are perpendicular to the second precoding vectors. The precoding vectors are different from third plural precoding vectors used at the time of precoding the main synchronization channel signal in a previous frame.

직교 주파수 분할 다중(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, OFDM) 방식 기반의 셀룰러 시스템의 기지국에서 전송된 신호를 수신한 단말의 데이터 복원 방법을 제공한다. 단말은 수신한 신호를 푸리에 변환하여 등화하고, 수신 신호의 서브프레임에 포함된 파일럿 부반송파 신호로부터 복수의 셀 - 단말이 속한 자기셀과 복수의 인접셀을 포함함 - 의 채널 계수, 신호 전력 및 잡음 전력을 검출한다. 그리고 단말은 수신 신호에 포함된 트래픽 부반송파 신호를 이용하여 간섭 전력을 검출하고, 검출된 신호 전력, 간섭 전력 및 잡음 전력을 이용하여 상기 수신 신호의 분산을 계산한 후, 등화된 수신 신호와 분산값을 이용하여 로그 가능도비를 결정하고, 연판정을 수행하여 수신된 신호를 결정한다. Abstract:
본 발명은 빔 형성, MIMO, 다이버서티 기법이 결합된 다중 안테나 전송 기술을 이용하는 송신 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 발명은 이동 단말기로 전송할 데이터 채널 신호를 생성하고, 데이터 채널 신호를 전송할 다중 안테나 전송 모드를 결정한 뒤, 데이터 채널 신호, 공통 파일럿 및 제어 신호를 합하여 순방향 신호를 생성하여 사전에 설정된 송신 각도에 따라 이동 단말기로 송출하는 다중 안테나 전송 기술을 이용한 송신 방법을 제공한다. 또한, 본 발명에 따른 다중 안테나 전송 기술을 이용한 송신 방법은 이동 단말기로부터 전송된 순방향 신호에 대한 피드백 신호를 수신하면, 피드백 신호를 이용하여 순방향 신호의 전송을 위한 다중 안테나 전송 모드를 결정한 뒤, 결정된 다중 안테나 전송 모드에 따라 순방향 신호를 생성하여 송출한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 기지국이 MIMO 및 다이버서티와 빔 형성을 간단하게 결합하여 데이터 채널 신호를 이동 단말기로 전송할 수 있으며, 이동 단말기도 다중 안테나 전송 모드를 채널 상황에 따라 용이하게 선택할 수 있다. 빔 형성, MIMO, 다이버서티, 다중 안테나 전송 모드, Beam Forming
Abstract:
A random access method using heterogeneous frequency hopping patterns between cells and a mobile communication device for performing the method are provided to use hopping patterns when an RACH(Random Access Channel) of an MS(Mobile Station) is transmitted, thereby preventing collision of random access bursts between neighboring cells as obtaining a diversity gain in a frequency domain. A receiver(220) receives RACH information on a cell group to which an MS(200) belongs from a base station. A channel allocator(230) allocates channels to RACH bursts based on the RACH information. A transmitter(260) transmits the RACH bursts by the allocated channels. The allocator(230) comprises as follows. A controller(240) extracts random access hopping patterns set in the cell group from the transmitted burst information, and selects sub channels to which the bursts are to be transmitted according to the extracted patterns. An OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) modulator(250) allocates the sub channels to the bursts, and OFDMA-modulates the bursts.

A forward link frame transmission method, a cell search method, an apparatus using the same and a forward link frame structure are provided to obtain low complexity and to reduce the cell search time of a mobile station in an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) cellular system. A forward link frame transmission method includes the steps of: generating a frame composed of a plurality of sync blocks; and transmitting the frame through a forward link. The frame includes a primary synchronization channel sequence to provide sync block timing information and a plurality of secondary synchronization channel sequences to provide frame timing information. A cell identifier(40) is specified by the combination of the primary synchronization channel sequence and a hopping codeword specified by the plurality of second synchronization channel sequences.

A method for transmitting a downlink frame in a wireless communication system is provided to improve cell search performance by placing main and sub synchronization channels adjacent to the boundary of a sub frame. A method for transmitting a downlink frame in a wireless communication system includes the step of: generating a first synchronization channel by inserting a first guard interval into a first synchronization channel signal; generating a second synchronization channel by inserting a second guard interval into a second synchronization channel signal; arranging the first synchronization channel in the downlink frame to place the first synchronization channel at the front of the boundary of the sub frame; and arranging the second synchronization channel in the downlink frame to place the second synchronization channel at the rear of the boundary of the sub frame. One of the first and second synchronization channels is a main synchronization channel, and the other is a sub synchronization channel.

A method and an apparatus for transmitting a signal in a communication system are provided to reduce the reception error of the same signal in a terminal by applying weight patterns different from each other to a common signal. A method for transmitting a signal in a communication system comprises the following steps of: setting a weight according to a weight pattern determined by the transmission time of a common signal and a pattern number allocated to a first BS(Base Station); multiplying the common signal by the weight to generate a transmission signal(S420); and transmitting the transmission signal(S440). The common signal is generated by a sequence allocated in common to the first BS and a second BS.

A transmission method of a mobile station is provided to enlarge an uplink cell coverage by adopting a switching diversity while detecting an RACH(Random Access CHannel). An OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) modulating unit(110) allocates an RACH burst into a specific subband, modulates the result, and generates an RACH burst signal. A beam forming unit(120) processes the RACH burst signal from the OFDMA modulating unit according to a predetermined beam forming pattern and transmits a generated beam to multiple reception antennas. A controlling unit(130) includes a subband controller(131), a beam forming pattern controller(132), and a power controller(133). The subband controller generates a first control signal for controlling a subband, which is allocated to the RACH burst. The beam forming pattern controller generates a second control signal for controlling the beam forming pattern of the RACH burst signal. The power controller generates a third control signal for controlling a transmission power of the RACH burst signal.

A method for demodulating a broadcast channel by using a synchronization channel at an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Modulation) system with transmit diversity and transmitting/receiving device therefor are provided to reduce error occurrence in BCH(Broadcasting Channel) frame by coherent-demodulating the BCH through a synchronization signal. A transmitting/receiving device for demodulating a broadcast channel by using a synchronization channel at an OFDM system with transmission diversity includes the rest channel demodulator(530), a cell searcher(550), a channel estimator(572), and a BHC coherent demodulator and combiner(580). The other channel demodulator receives other channel except synchronous channel and BCH channel. The cell searcher(550) performs a cell search. The channel estimator(572) estimates first and second channels for first and second receiving antennas(500,502) respectively. The BHC coherent demodulator and combiner(580) performs coherent demodulation of BCH for each receiving antenna path and combines the BCH.
